LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: UFC President Dana White disclosed what former president Donald Trump told him in a phone call an hour before the dramatic debate against Vice President Kamala Harris.

While promoting his 'Contender Series,' on Wednesday, September 11, in Las Vegas, White was asked to weigh in on the presidential debate where he revealed he had not watched it yet.

"He [Trump] called me an hour before the debate," the UFC President said, as per Daily Mail. "I don't know how it went or what happened, but I know he took it seriously.

White added that Trump said, "I look at this like a heavyweight fight. I'm not taking anybody lightly."

The GOP presidential nominee and Harris came face to face for the first time in the debate stage on September 10, hosted by ABC News. The two contenders ripped into each other in their first face-off before the November election.

In response to the Trump-Harris debate, White also referred to the June face-off between President Joe Biden and his successor.

"First of all, it's the second time he has had to debate," he said about the CNN showdown that eventually led to Biden's exit from the re-election bid, passing the torch to his vice president.

"They didn't like how the debate turned out. They want to kick that guy [Biden] out. He's unfit to run, yet he's still the President of the United States. Now they bring in somebody who wasn't elected to actually be in there," White continued.

"They'll only do it on ABC. It was three to one tonight. He was facing three to one," he added, expressing his complete support for Trump, signaling the debate moderators Linsey Davis and David Muir were biased against the real state mogul.

White refused to reveal what advice he gave to Trump, saying that would stay between them.

Following the debate, Harris received the endorsement of pop star Taylor Swift, who deemed that VP a "steady-handed, gifted leader."

Trump's association with the UFC goes back to when MMA was considered "human cockfighting," but the former president supported the spot and hosted multiple events in his New Jersey hotels and casinos.

The MAGA leader, whenever he attends a fight, is often spotted sitting next to White on the cage side.

Internet slams Trump as Dana White reveals what ex-president told him just before debate

Netizens blasted Trump, commenting below the Daily Mail report on his debate performance in response to Dana White's revelation about what the presidential candidate had said to him an hour before the debate.

"Now we know why he looked so angry with a game face on - talking about a heavyweight fight & taking a sledgehammer to a civil debate witnessed in public - what could go wrong - apparently, everything!" a user said.

"During the debate, Trump was incoherent, irrational, and clearly unable to mount a reasonable argument about anything. If the previous debate resulted in Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race, this one should logically send Trump scrambling for the exit. But it won’t. Because he knows that it would be a fast track to a jail cell," another remarked.

"Trump focuses on stating features of his policies instead of selling their benefits to voters. His abrasive and verbose responses are irritating to viewers and listeners. All the other beaten Republican Party are much better public communicators," read a third response.

"I seriously think the Republicans have bet on the wrong horse, Trump should move aside like Biden did as it’s obvious that his mental state is deteriorating," added a fourth user.

"He told him how he was going to discuss the eating of the cats, dogs and the pets. Not sure if cats and dogs are not pets but that's how slow Donnie the con reasons," someone else chimed in.

"Excuse after excuse. If he can’t handle two debates and a new candidate when the old one dropped out can he really be president? What a baby," an individual wrote.

"This debate brought back memories of the Trump-Biden debate a couple months ago...except this time Trump performed like Biden and Kamala performed like Trump!" another user added.

"Trump was an utter embarrassment to himself and the American people. Absolutely humiliating," read one remark.
