WASHINGTON, DC: Dana White, the president of the UFC, thinks that former president Donald Trump is the most formidable person he has ever encountered, making him the ideal candidate to lead the country as its next president.

White, who introduced Trump at the Republican National Convention last month, discussed his support for the GOP nominee and praised his fortitude in the face of an attempted assassination on Fox News' 'Hannity' this Friday night, August 2.

Dana White says Donald Trump is 'one of the most resilient, toughest human beings'

"America needs a strong leader and the world needs a strong America, and he’s the guy," Dana White told Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity. The chairman of the UFC started by praising Donald Trump's response after being shot on July 13 during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

He said, "Every man thinks they’re some level of tough guy, right? You don’t find out who the real tough guys are, until tough guy stuff happens. When they shot at him, his reaction to being shot at was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen."

"He’s one of the most resilient, toughest human beings on the planet, and contrary to what the narrative is and what everybody would like you to believe, he’s one of the best guys you will ever meet," White declared.

Dana White on his new fighting competition

The UFC president talked about the roughness of the former US president as well as his new fighting competition, 'Power Slap'.

Athletes compete in Power Slap, a single-on-one slap fight in which the object is to knock the other out with hard strikes to the head. He told Hannity that he thinks the sport will surpass the UFC in popularity because he is so sure of its appeal.

White said, "Remember I told you this here today: this will be bigger than the UFC. I mean, we’ve only been doing this 18 months… In 18 months, we have 17 million followers. We have 8 billion views on social in 18 months. We have more Instagram followers than every Major League Baseball team, every NHL team and 30 of 32 NFL teams."

"This thing is an absolute juggernaut," White declared, adding that it’s the "most successful thing I’ve been a part of in such a short amount of time."

Internet mocks Dana White as Kamala Harris gains significant grounds in latest polls

Netizens mocked Dana White for backing Donald Trump. However, things do not appear to be as bright for the former president as they looked one month back, for Kamala Harris becoming the new Democratic Presidential nominee, may prove to be detrimental for Trump and Republicans.

One X user tweeted, "But his opponent is leading on the polls."

Another tweeted, "He should start fighting back, but it is a fact that his opponent is ahead in the nominal polls."

"So strong he had to weasel out of his debate commitment for fear of getting fact checked," one remarked.

"Donald Trump is a withered and fragile old man that is in severe mental decline. Dana just wants the tax cuts," wrote someone else.
