LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Candace Owens’ controversial take on the Holocaust has drawn intense flak from ‘FRIENDS’ actor David Schwimmer’s ex-wife, artist Zoe Buckman.

Owens, who previously worked with Daily Wire as a commentator, recently sparked a controversy after downplaying the Holocaust and calling Adolf Hitler’s orders “nationalism” on ‘The Candace Owens Show’.

The right-wing commentator - who recently converted to Cathocism - even questioned the truthfulness of Mengele’s experiments on the Jews in the concentration camps.

The Instagram account @JewishOnCampus summarized Owens’ points in brief and said that the media personality called the criticism of Nazi occupation a “bizarre propaganda.”

Essentially, she downplayed the atrocities of Nazi occupation, which elicited a prompt response from Buckman.

Buckman soon took to her Instagram to slam Owens, writing, per Perez Hilton, “There is never a need to minimize the experience of the Holocaust on any of the groups who perished or survived it.”

However, the talk show host was left incensed with Buckman’s apparent pushback as she sent a series of direct messages to the artist on her social media.

Owens wrote, as seen in the screenshots shared by Buckman on her Instagram earlier this week, “You guys literally just believe everything you read as long as you can play the victim. It really is incredible. For once, it really wasn’t about you. Believe it or not, other groups have suffered genocide and this was THEIR story.”

In a follow-up message, Owens continued, “Either watch the full episode or shut up. Respectfully.”

She captioned the screenshots with further images describing several terms including 'Holocaust Distortion' and 'Holocaust Inversion'.

She wrote in the caption, "‼️I woke up to charming DMs from Candace Owens the other morning. She went on her antisemitic, victim-blaming, gaslighting, Holoc@ust denying rant on TV, which I condemned. Then of course: true to form, the antisemite always accuses the Jew of “playing the victim” after we respond with truth to their denial of our persecution. Feels familiar doesn’t it? I’ve encountered this for months in the art world."

Buckman further criticized Owens in an interview with Page Six. The artist shared snippets from her interview on her social media where she can be seen noting, “It’s a pattern we see constantly: the antisemite denies or diminishes an atrocity committed against the Jews, forcing the Jewish people to respond factually with truth. The antisemite then accuses the Jews of ‘playing the victim.’ This adds another layer of bigotry and gaslighting.”

Buckman added, “We do not make victims of ourselves. Across the globe and throughout the ages, Jews have been persecuted with mass attempts to eliminate our existence. And yet in every generation we respond by doubling down on hard work and on our core values of learning & giving & creating.”

After Buckman cleared her side of the story, Owens said in an interview with Page Six, “I did not ‘jump in a Jewish artists DMs.’”

She continued, “Rather, a Jewish artist jumped into my DMs, by tagging me in a full-throated lie so that she could play the victim. When people lie about something I say and then rush to attack me in my DMs, I reserve the right to tell them to shut up and stop playing the victim.”

“As fashionable and irresistible as it has become to aggress others while playing the victim, it’s much more dignifying to simply shut up if you’re incapable of telling the truth,” continued the talk show host.
