AUBURN, ALABAMA: Democrats targeted Donald Trump during a college football game by flying a banner that cheekily suggested the GOP nominee lost September's presidential debate to Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

The banner made its appearance above Sanford Stadium on Saturday, October 5, where the Georgia Bulldogs triumphed over Alabama's Auburn Tigers with a score of 31-13.

Greg Bluestein, a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reported that the Georgia Democrats planned this publicity stunt to coincide with the highly anticipated game. The airborne message read, “Trump: 1 debate loss, 0 SEC championships,” providing a humorous jibe at the former president.

Kamala Harris remains open to another face-off with Donald Trump

This comes after Donald Trump, who participated in the presidential debate against Kamala Harris on September 10, refused to face his Democratic rival in another verbal argument. While the former president declared himself the winner of the ABC-moderated event, snap polls indicated that many viewers felt the Vice President performed better.

Harris has expressed her willingness to participate in another debate, set to be hosted by CNN on October 23. However, Trump has insisted it’s "too late" for another debate, stating during a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, "She's done one debate, I've done two. It's too late to do another; I'd love to in many ways, but it's too late; the voting is cast, the voters are out there."

DNC intensifies campaign by targeting Donald Trump and JD Vance with strategic banners

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has embraced the strategy of flying banners at multiple college football games recently, targeting not only Donald Trump but also his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance.

One such banner at the University of Wisconsin's Camp Randall Stadium proclaimed, “Jump Around! Beat Trump + Project 2025,” referencing a popular hip-hop anthem that energizes fans during games.

Another banner reading, “Michigan: JD Vance <3 Ohio State + Project 2025,” was seen above Michigan Stadium earlier this month. Trump and his team have consistently denied any connection to Project 2025, a set of policy proposals from The Heritage Foundation aimed at reshaping the US government under a conservative administration.

“These banners carry a message that resonates with fans and remind them that the most important contest is still to come in November," stated DNC Deputy Communications Director Abhi Rahman, according to Newsweek.

"The contrast in this election couldn't be clearer, and we have a winning playbook: sack Project 2025, make a goal line stand, and drive 99 yards the other way towards a more just and equal America for all.”

In a related event, Harris's campaign had also arranged for a banner to fly over Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, reading, “Trump's Punting on 2nd Debate.” However, the weather forced the plane to remain grounded, leaving the banner unseen as Trump attended the game that day.
