WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump pleaded with the US Supreme Court on Sunday, June 30, to be granted immunity from prosecution for his alleged offenses, stated Raw Story.

The nation's highest court is anticipated to provide the much-awaited response to former President Trump's query on Monday, July 1, on whether or not he can be held responsible for any crimes during his only term in office.

Legal experts speculate that the Supreme Court would 'split the baby' and provide Trump partial protection in cases involving his formal status as president.

Over the weekend, while waiting for that ruling, Donald Trump repeated on social media one of his most frequent demands, i.e., complete immunity.

Trump said that in the absence of presidential immunity, "a President of the United States literally could not function!" He added, "It should be a STRONG IMMUNITY, where proper decisions can be made, where our Country can be POWERFUL and THRIVE, and where Opponents cannot hold up and extort a Future President for Political Gain."

He also said, "It is a BIG decision, an important decision, a decision which can affect the Success or Failure of our Country for decades to come."

He then mentioned, "We want a GREAT Country, not a weak, withering, and ineffective one. STRONG PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY IS A MUST!"
