LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs continues to be a powerful figure in the entertainment industry even as he is under federal custody, a source told People on Monday, October 7.

The 54-year-old music mogul, who faces multiple federal charges as well as civil lawsuits, is currently behind bars in Brooklyn New York. However, an insider source shared with the publication that he still scares many individuals with what he could do to them since he has so many connections.

Insider reveals why people are 'afraid to cross' Diddy

People surrounding Diddy were aware of his controlling nature but gave him leeway for being a creative genius, the insider reportedly told the publication. However, they were aware of exactly how influential he was, and are now scared as he faces a lifetime in prison if convicted.

"He's so powerful. Everyone was afraid to cross him," said the source. "Even though he's behind bars now, he's still so powerful. We all knew it even back then."

"Everyone always chalked it up to being a creative genius when it came to his obsession with controlling things," they continued. "He's incredibly smart. He knows a lot of people, and he's helped a lot of people — so a lot of people owe him. He knows that."

The source later added that the founder of the Bad Boy Records "is capable of a lot — much more than people think, even now."

Internet compares Diddy to Jefferey Epstein

After reading the source's revelations about Diddy in the Daily Mail article, social media users took to the comments section and remarked on how the concerns shared by celebrities over Diddy's power mirrored those about Jeffrey Epstein. They also compared the disgraced rapper to the financier.

"Sure. Like Epstein was powerful?" asked one social media user.

"When people are afraid of what could be revealed, accidents happen. Waiting for the news report that came out when Epstein was jailed," wrote another.

"If you’re afraid then you obviously have reason to be," noted one person. "He gave off a gangster vibe," commented another.

"It can only be he may try and record more music. pure fear," wrote one individual, while another commented, "It's the people that put him at the top it's the people that made him powerful so it's the people that can bring him down again, people should show him they aren't afraid of him anymore."

"If he is still so powerful, then why is he in prison right now and why are there 120 fresh new charges stacked against him? He’s never going to see the light of day," one netizen remarked.

"Nobody should be above the law, but unfortunately in this funny world, if you have money, you can be as bad as you like and your money protects you," another added.
