Here's why Sean 'Diddy' Combs took Prince William and Prince Harry off guest list for his 'wild parties'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sean "Diddy" Combs' guest list for his "wild parties" once included even the British princes.
A royal expert, Christopher Andersen, recently revealed how Prince William and Prince Harry "wisely turned down" the disgraced music mogul's recurring invitations.
This comes as a 2011 interview of Diddy resurfaced in which he expressed his wish to host the princes at his notorious bashes.
Royal expert says Prince William and Prince Harry 'dodged a bullet' by turning down the invitations
During an appearance on Fox News on Wednesday, October 2, Christopher Andersen said, "Diddy invited both William and Harry back when, as he put it, the brothers 'were young bucks getting into trouble themselves.' Obviously, in their youth, both princes made plenty of headlines with their party animal antics at nightclubs in and around London."
But things started to change once William and Kate Middleton got engaged in 2010.
"Diddy made a point of inviting them to his parties. But those invitations were wisely turned down, and after William and Kate [Middleton] got engaged [in 2010], Diddy got the hint and stopped inviting them altogether," explained the author of 'The King" The Life of Charles III'.
In their younger days, William and Harry could’ve easily accepted one of those invites and found themselves in the middle of Diddy’s infamous soirees. But, as Andersen said, "Thanks to their palace handlers, they dodged a bullet there."
Diddy himself confirmed this on an episode of 'The Graham Norton Show' back in 2011. He mentioned that invitations had, indeed, been sent out to the "young bucks," as he fondly referred to the princes.
Graham Norton humorously interjected, "Not anymore," referencing William’s upcoming marriage to Middleton, adding, "Don’t ruin our royal wedding for us," which prompted Diddy to assure everyone that the royals were no longer on his list.
The Bad Boy Records founder said, "Trust me, they’re off the list. Before when they were young bucks growing up and they were getting in a lot of trouble themselves, so, hey, I was like, 'Why don’t you come hang out with me?'"
Diddy was alluding to the brothers’ wilder days, including infamous escapades like Harry’s trips to Las Vegas which caused quite a stir in the media. But even before that, there had been occasions where the music mogul crossed paths with the royal brothers.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs and the British princes met in 2007
One documented meeting between Sean "Diddy" Combs and the brothers took place in 2007 at an after-party for a concert in honor of their late mother, Princess Diana.
Diddy performed at the Princess Diana Memorial Concert at Wembley Arena before heading to a club called Paper in London for the after-party. It’s there that he was photographed with both William and Harry.
Andersen said this was part of Diddy’s attempt to rub shoulders with royalty. "Diddy has admitted that he aspired to move in royal circles and was even angling for an audience with the late queen. That never happened," revealed the royal author.
He added, "I’m sure that King Charles, who has seen the monarchy so badly tarnished by Prince Andrew’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, isn’t exactly thrilled at even the vague prospect of seeing the royal family dragged into yet another sordid sex scandal."
"King Charles must be grateful that his sons’ encounters with Diddy didn’t include participating in the rap star’s infamous 'freak-offs,'" remarked Andersen.
The notorious parties are now under heavy scrutiny following Diddy’s arrest on multiple charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.
In March, a raid of Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes reportedly uncovered around 1,000 bottles of baby oil, which were allegedly used during the "freak-off" parties. The rapper has denied any wrongdoing, albeit the allegations are massive.
Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee recently announced that he is part of a group representing 120 individuals in civil lawsuits against the music mogul. These allegations stretch back decades, with accusations that include the sexual assault of over two dozen minors, as per Page Six.
