LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Back in 2017, long before his fall from grace, Sean 'Diddy' Combs sat down with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg on 'Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party'.

The vibe was light and no one could have fathomed what was to come. Diddy joined in on the fun, sharing laughs and a game of "tough decisions" alongside La La Anthony and Usher.

What will be Sean 'Diddy' Combs' 'last words'?

It all started with the “Queen of Cuisine" Martha Stewart setting the scene.

"Everyone at this table has been forced to make tough decisions, and today it doesn't get any easier," Stewart said, shuffling a deck of cards full of tricky prompts.

"I'm going to ask you some more difficult things. In front of me, we have a stack of cards that contain a scenario with a missing piece. You'll have to make the tough decision to fill in the blanks."

Snoop handed one card over to Diddy and said, “Diddy, that's on you nephew, take the top card.”

Diddy read his card out loud: “When I die, I want my last words to be...” He paused for dramatic effect and then proclaimed, “I did it," before flinging the card into the air as the room erupted into cheers and applause.

Sean 'Diddy’ Combs' legal troubles

Seven years later, things have taken a much darker turn for music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs. In September, a federal indictment was unsealed revealing serious charges against Diddy, including racketeering conspiracy, trafficking, and more. If convicted, he’s looking at a minimum of 15 years to life in prison.

According to the indictment, authorities say that Diddy used his businesses—Bad Boy Entertainment, Combs Enterprises, and others—as part of a larger criminal enterprise, Fox News reported.

Diddy’s legal team is pushing back hard. On October 20, they requested a gag order to keep potential government witnesses from making public statements. The lawyers argue that the media frenzy surrounding the case is turning it into a “reckless media circus".

Diddy's legal team, led by attorney Erica Wolff, has been vocal about his innocence. "As Mr Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus," Wolff said in a statement.

The statement further said Combs "looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation".

More accusations emerge as Sean 'Diddy' Combs awaits trial

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' current legal troubles began when he was sued by his ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, in late 2023. She accused him of violently abusing and assaulting her.

That lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed amount a day after it was filed, with Combs maintaining his innocence.

The accusations against Sean 'Diddy' Combs seem to keep piling up with multiple women filing lawsuits against the rap mogul alleging assault.

The disgraced rapper is currently in custody at a New York jail as he awaits his day in court. The trial is set for May 2025.

Prosecutors have painted a rather disturbing picture but despite the severity of the charges, Diddy has maintained his innocence.

He entered a plea of not guilty but was denied bail, meaning he’ll be staying in jail until his trial kicks off next year.
