Dispatch audio reveals heartbreaking details after ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ star Kaylee Hottle’s car crash
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND: New details have emerged about the untimely death of ‘Godzilla vs Kong’ star Kaylee Hottle following the car crash that claimed her life.
Hottle was 19 when she died on Tuesday, July 21, in Maryland.

Page Six, citing Frederick County Sheriff, Fire and EMS dispatch audio, reported that when first responders arrived at the crash scene, they requested assistance in finding someone who knew sign language or had access to an interpreter app so they could communicate with the young actress.
“If anybody has access to the interpreter app on the phones, can you please start this way? Because we need a sign language interpreter,” officials can be heard saying.
The publication also reported that Hottle was “unconscious” when first responders found her.
Dispatch audio cites excessive speed
According to one dispatcher, the ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ star was reportedly visiting the area, and her friends were unable to provide contact information for her family.
However, responders were able to reach Hottle’s father, Joshua, by phone.
The dispatch audio also revealed the extent of the damage from the crash, with responders describing “heavy front-end damage” and stating that the car, a 1995 Honda Accord, “traveled off the right side of the two-lane roadway and struck a culvert. Excessive speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.”
This came after Hottle’s father, Joshua, shared in a lengthy Facebook Live stream, using ASL, that he was in Texas when he learned about the tragedy.
The grieving father also said Hottle’s heart stopped after she was transferred to the hospital.
Texas School for the Deaf mourns Kaylee Hottle
Meanwhile, tributes poured in following the actress’s death.
Texas School for the Deaf, where Hottle was a senior, said in a Facebook statement, “It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that one of our TSD seniors, Kaylee Hottle, tragically passed away yesterday in a car accident in Frederick, Maryland.”
“Our hearts are with Kaylee's family, friends, classmates, and everyone who knew and loved her during this incredibly difficult time,” it added, before requesting people to "respect the privacy of Kaylee's family and refrain from sharing or speculating about the circumstances surrounding the accident."
"Please keep Kaylee's loved ones in your thoughts as we mourn this tremendous loss together,” the statement concluded.
