Many speculate that the singer’s physical decline may be linked to the challenges of fatherhood, with some pointing to reports of a strained marriage to Hailey Bieber, while others wonder if the media frenzy surrounding Sean 'Diddy' Combs could be a factor.
Now, medical professionals are offering their insights, exploring the potential health issues that could be contributing to the dramatic changes in Bieber’s appearance.

Several medical experts have weighed in on Justin Bieber's recent alarming appearance.
Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr Gaurav Bharti shared with DailyMail that the most noticeable changes in the singer’s appearance include a receding hairline, loss of facial volume, increased wrinkles, and dark circles under his eyes.
Dr Bharti explained that these changes could be attributed to various factors, such as "natural aging, stress, nutrition, weight loss, and skincare habits."
He also emphasized that "prolonged poor sleep and inadequate recovery can accelerate signs of aging, making someone appear more tired or drawn."
Psychotherapist Jonathan Alpert, based in Manhattan, also weighed in, suggesting that the "immense scrutiny" that Bieber has been under could be contributing to his appearance, particularly with the added responsibilities of fatherhood after welcoming his son, Jack Blues, with wife Hailey.
Alpert continued, “Sudden changes in appearance, particularly signs of aging, can often be attributed to a combination of stress, lifestyle choices, and underlying health factors.”
He added, “Celebrities (similar to US Presidents) live under an immense amount of scrutiny, which can be emotionally exhausting and take a physical toll over time. Public figures are often subject to intense scrutiny and this kind of pressure can itself impact their well-being.”
The psychotherapist said, “Ultimately, significant changes in appearance are usually the result of multiple factors—stress, sleep quality, diet, and emotional health all play a role.”
He also discussed how the troubles in his marriage may be contributing to his health issues, “If there are rumors of marital troubles, that could certainly contribute to stress, as relationship challenges are one of the biggest sources of emotional strain.”

Psychiatrist and author Dr Carole Lieberman also pointed to the media frenzy surrounding Diddy, a former associate of Justin Bieber who was arrested in September on serious charges, as a potential factor in Bieber's deteriorating appearance.
Lieberman shared, “The latest celebrity sighting of Justin Bieber looks like the 'night of the walking dead'".
He added, “He's gone from looking like 'Ken', a stereotypically hot guy, to being almost unrecognizable. It is shocking that no one has gotten him onto a psychiatrist’s couch before now.”
Lieberman suggested that the drama involving Diddy could have contributed to Bieber’s worsening look, particularly after he was drawn into the controversy due to his connections with Combs.
Therapist Shari Botwin also offered additional insights into the sources of Justin Bieber's recent stress. She suggested that the challenges of adjusting to life with a newborn, rumored marital issues, and the media frenzy surrounding Diddy's arrest may have exacerbated his chronic illness, ultimately impacting his appearance.
She noted, "Bieber was diagnosed with a condition that affects the facial nerves, causing paralysis on one side of his face."
She found what affected Justin’s physical appearance, “Ramsay Hunt syndrome has affected his physical appearance; however, stress and earlier life traumas could be taking a toll on his health.”
She added, “Bieber has alluded to surviving trauma as a child. Even though he has not spoken publicly about what happened, it is possible that the shame, pain and loss he has experienced has resulted in early aging and change in appearance. Oftentimes, undigested trauma and stress can lead to a variety of health issues.”
