LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Bieber has sparked controversy by claiming his Instagram account was hacked after fans noticed he had unfollowed his wife Hailey Bieber.

The singer, currently on a skiing trip in Aspen, Colorado, with Hailey, quickly re-followed her and addressed the incident on social media.

The unexpected move had further fueled already circulating speculations about the Hailey and Justin Bieber's marriage.

Fans also pointed out that Justin previously unfollowed his father-in-law, Stephen Baldwin, further raising eyebrows.

In response to the backlash, Justin posted on his Instagram Story, "Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. S**t getting suss out here." He later deleted the post.

He then quickly re-followed Hailey’s account after regaining access, Daily Mail noted.

Hailey and Justin Bieber's marriage is on the verge of breaking point 

Despite Justin Bieber's explanation, fans speculated whether the incident was a publicity stunt ahead of his rumored 2025 music comeback with a new album and world tour.

Reports also suggest tension in Justin and Hailey’s relationship due to legal issues involving Sean "Diddy" Combs.

A source told RadarOnline, "Justin is sweating bullets, fearing he's going to get served with a subpoena and have to recount every lurid thing he saw while under Diddy's wing."

The source added, "It’s left Hailey, who has long deflected divorce rumors, wondering where all of this will leave her husband—and their marriage."

Internet reacts to Justin Bieber's hacked account claim 

Many internet users doubted Justin Bieber's hacking claims and accused him of using the incident as a publicity stunt with several others doubting his clarity. 

"But why specifically? Things aren’t adding up," one user wrote on X. Another stated, "We all know Justin is doing this to promote his album."

Some fans criticized the singer’s casual response to the supposed hack, with one commenting, "Isn’t he being so chill with his account being ‘hacked’????"

Others dismissed the incident entirely, saying, "It was just a PR stunt by him. Just him trying to get back in the industry."
