JUPITER, FLORIDA: Donald Trump Jr and his new flame, Bettina Anderson, appear to be clearing the way for their future by nudging his fiancee, Kimberly Guilfoyle, out of the spotlight.

Sources suggest that President-elect Donald Trump’s recent nomination of Guilfoyle as the US ambassador to Greece might have been tied to the duo's plans.

Don Jr and Bettina Anderson waited until election before pushing Kimberly Guilfoyle away

An insider revealed to People, "Bettina wants Kim out of the area. They waited for the election to pass to avoid any disruption."

They added, "They are trying to send Kim abroad. They waited for the election to pass but they didn’t want the split to get in the way of anything to hurt Donald in the election."

In his Tuesday, December 10, announcement, the president-elect praised Guilfoyle’s "extensive experience in law, media, and politics." The 78-year-old said the former Fox News host was "perfectly suited" to foster strong ties with Greece and serve US interests overseas.

The announcement came just one day after Don Jr was spotted holding hands with Anderson during a celebratory evening stroll in Palm Beach, Florida. The pair, photographed during Anderson's birthday outing, have reportedly been growing closer, with some sources alleging they've been seeing each other for months.

While Don Jr has not addressed the status of his engagement to Guilfoyle, insiders have hinted that their relationship is all but over. Reports in September indicated they had been spending significant time apart, fueling speculation about their relationship’s future.

One user took to Facebook saying, "Bettina better pay attention. Donnie Jr. will treat her the same way he treated Kimberly, and I doubt his daddy will still be president when that happens, so no ambassadorship for her!"

Another user remarked, "I wish republicans would admit they actually don’t care about family values. They never call out this type of behavior within their own party. Which is fine to live and let live but quit saying family values is important to you."

"I mean he didn’t have the best role model for relationships," expressed an individual, with one stating, "I feel like there’s going to be revenge on her part. I may go out and get popcorn and watch."

Meanwhile, some took a sarcastic jab at the family values rhetoric often associated with the political right, commenting, "Just love seeing these family values the republicans are always preaching about."

"And Kimberly gets to be an Ambassador now! Can’t have her out there spilling the family secrets," quipped one more.
