DORAL, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, July 9, charged that Democrats were involved in the 'biggest cover-up in political history' and were protecting President Joe Biden's 'cognitive abilities', stated the New York Post.

Trump stated this during his first campaign event in 11 days, in Doral, Florida. He was responding to calls from Democrats for Biden to drop his reelection campaign after his poor June 27 debate.

Alleging a conspiracy involving Kamala Harris and other Democratic Party officials to hide Biden’s diminished cognitive abilities from the public, Trump said, "Joe, Kamala, and the entire Democrat establishment have been caught red-handed in the thick of the biggest scandal and the biggest cover-up."

He said, "It’s a cover-up, that’s what it is. I said it when they hid this guy in the basement," adding, "It’s the biggest cover-up in political history. It is a sinister plot to defraud the American public about the cognitive abilities of the man in the Oval Office."

According to Trump, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif), and Harris were all allegedly 'in on it.'

Arguing that the alleged conspiracy 'put our country at great risk and danger', Trump said, "Every Democrat cabinet member was in on it. They all knew this guy was grossly incompetent, and every Democrat in the House and the Senate was in on it. It was a scam. The American people can never trust this group of liars ever again."

In addition, Trump challenged Biden to a game of golf at the resort in the Miami region, with the prize being a $1 million cheque that would be given to the president's preferred charity.

Trump said, "I’m officially challenging ‘Crooked Joe’ to an 18-hole golf match right here. It will be among the most watched sporting events in history, maybe bigger than the Ryder Cup or even the Masters. And I will even give Joe Biden 10 strokes a side."

He added, "If he wins, I will give the charity of his choice, any charity that he wants, $1 million."
