ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Former president Donald Trump angrily blamed the "school administration" for hundreds of seats remaining empty at his campaign rally at the Georgia State University on Saturday, August 3, reported Daily Express US.

The GOP nominee was joined by his running mate JD Vance on the stage, yet was unable to fill the arena. The smaller crowd stood in sharp contrast with the turn-out at his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris' rally at the same location at the end of last month, which was packed with attendees.

Harris campaign has mocked Trump for failing to draw more people to his rally in the swing state of Georgia over multiple posts on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

One of the posts by Kamala HQ showing the empty seats at the Trump rally read, "Trump blames 'the school administration' for hundreds of empty seats at his rally. (Vice President Harris filled every seat in this same arena four days ago)."

Donald Trump comments on empty seats at his rally

In a clip from the rally that went viral online, Donald Trump is seen saying on stage, "I have to tell you we have thousands of people outside, and the state (of Georgia) was terrific, and the fire marshal I would say could not have been better... but the school administration stopped us from getting another 500-600, even 1,000 people in."

"Thousand of people were told 'No,' and that was okay, but we could have fit another 600 people. So I don't know anything about this school, but they could have allowed more people. You got people standing outside," he goes on to state.

Trump points out the empty seats in another clip shared on social media saying, "Could the school people allow... There are some seats right up there, they could let them come in. I don't know what you're doing."

"Let the people come in, they're standing outside, thousands of them. Let them come in. It's obviously a very liberal school, I guess," he adds.

Internet mocks Donald Trump for lamenting over empty seats

Netizens reacting to the clips on X trolled Donald Trump for having empty seats in his rally and complaining about it. The following tweets demonstrate the prevalent take.

"It's always someone else's fault. Not buying they aren't letting people in," wrote a user.

"Trump couldn't stand that Obama had bigger crowds and now Kamala Harris is humiliating him again. Gotta love it!" exclaimed another.

"Even Trump acknowledges he can’t fill the arena. Total loser," quipped a third.

"Lots of empty seats. Embarrassing," jibed a fourth.

"There were NO THOUSANDSOF PPL STANDING OUTSIDE!" exclaimed a fifth.
