WASHINGTON, DC: A few days after he was accused of calling Milwaukee "a horrible city" at a private meeting with congressional Republicans, former President Donald Trump showed his affection for the city on Tuesday, June 18, when he began his Wisconsin rally, according to the New York Post.

Referring to the Republican National Convention taking place in July, Trump said, "I love Milwaukee! I was the one that picked Milwaukee. You gotta fix the crime. We all know that. You gotta make sure the election’s honest."

The majority of issues discussed in the election were addressed by Trump in his trademark meandering remarks, including former President Barack Obama escorting President Joe Biden off stage at a weekend event.

Trump made his first appearance in the crucial swing state since his conviction and he seemed to enjoy discussing his "indictment".

Trump mocked Biden's claim that the media was editing his images to present him in poor light. Trump said, "On that one I have to stand up for the media."

Moreover, Trump said that Hispanic and Black people will support him in the upcoming election. He also made a big deal out of illegal immigration, claiming that nations in South America were sending criminals to the southern border where they then attack American civilians.

He said, "That’s why the Black population, the Hispanic population is voting for me at levels never seen before in this country."

Notably, according to a compilation of network surveys, Trump's popularity among Black voters has increased thrice, from 7% in 2020 to 21% at this time.

Referring to the campaign promise he made at a recent Las Vegas rally, Trump said, "Remember, with Trump, no tax on tips. I’m leading in young people by numbers that no one has ever seen before."

He added, "I’m the party of common sense. We’re the party of common sense. It’s not a conservative thing or a liberal . . . thing."
