WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday, March 30, to slam comedian Bill Maher while confirming that he would be meeting him in the White House in the coming days, Mediaite reported.

The meeting has been set up by musician and MAGA enthusiast Kid Rock, who first proposed it to Maher while appearing on his podcast 'Club Random'. He believed at the time that it would "set a huge precedent for the world” since Maher is known to be a vocal critic of the president. Later, in an interview with Glenn Beck, Rock confirmed that the meeting has been finalized.

However, the date of the meeting is yet to be made public, as well as the information on whether the meeting will be private or broadcasted as part of a show or podcast.

Donald Trump's announcement confirming his meeting with Bill Maher

Following Bill Maher's outburst against MAGA for suffering from "Trump Devotion Syndrome" in the weekend's episode of his HBO show 'Real Time', Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social, "I got a call from a very good guy, and friend of mine, Kid Rock, asking me whether or not it would be possible for me to meet, in the White House, with Bill Maher, a man who has been unjustifiably critical of anything, or anyone, TRUMP."

"I really didn’t like the idea much, and don’t like it much now, but thought it would be interesting," the president continued.

"The problem is, no matter how much he likes your Favorite President, ME, he will publicly proclaim what a terrible guy I am, etc," Trump added.

The 78-year-old POTUS compared Maher to Democrats in Congress, whom he claimed did not applaud or in any way appreciate his address to the joint session of the Houses earlier this month.

However, the POTUS insisted that he would keep an open mind, stating, "Who knows, though, maybe I’ll be proven wrong? In any event, I’m doing a favor for a friend. I look forward to meeting with Bill Maher, Kid Rock and, I believe, even the Legendary Dana White will be present. It might be fun or, it might not, but you will be the first to know!"
