LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Comedian Bill Maher claimed he was not sure if he would get to see a Democrat win the White House again during a conversation with singer and MAGA enthusiast Kid Rock on the Monday, March 10 episode of his podcast, 'Club Random'.

According to Mediaite, the remark came after the pair disagreed on the 2020 presidential election, as Kid Rock—born Richard James Ritchie—refused to accept that incumbent Donald Trump lost to former President Joe Biden without any “shenanigans.”

Maher, 69, reasoned with Kid Rock, 54, that 78-year-old Trump losing his presidency in 2020 and making it back to the White House in 2024 makes him "more legendary.” He also noted that he would “like someone like” Trump in his political corner as the business tycoon knows how to “get what he wants.”

Bill Maher's opinion on Democrats reclaiming White House

The 'Real Time' host insisted that Democrats would find it extremely difficult to have their candidate win the Oval Office, as many believe that it would "ruin" the country.

"I don’t know if we’ll ever see a Democrat president again because I just don’t think that they (Americans) are of a mind that that can happen without it ruining the country," stated Maher. "So they convince themselves they have to do it (elect Trump). They don’t want to do it, they just have to do it because otherwise a Democrat will get (in).”

"Monkey see, monkey do too," quipped Kid Rock in response, explaining, "Somebody starts something and you see the talkings points come out, like the cops or the White House, this, that, and the other. Everyone gets on the same talking points. They use them a lot in the news now. Everybody’s talking this, they’re saying this, the end of — what is the big one now, it’s constitutional something or other.”

Maher further complained against the Democrats giving up very easily, saying, "Democrats do draw the line at when they lose an election, they just quit. They quit quick. I mean, Kamala Harris was in like the Bahamas on Thursday. I mean, they just (go), okay, we lost, get out of town, we’ll try again next year, no big deal.”

Internet slams Bill Maher for his remark

Netizens reacting to Bill Maher's comment on the Mediaite website refused to side with the talk show host. The following examples demonstrate their takes.

"Such a stupid take even for Bill," wrote a person.

"If you’re interviewing a c-lister like Kid Rock you’re not relevant anymore," jibed another.

"69-year-old has-been interviews 54-year-old has-been," mocked a third.

"Bill Maher is a baby seeking attention," chided a fourth.

"Maher needs to stop pretending he's a Dem," noted a fifth.

"Maher is slowly falling in love with Trump," quipped yet another.
