PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump on Monday, June 17, blamed President Joe Biden's hesitation to "shut down the border" for the horrifying assault and murder of Maryland mother Rachel Morin.

According to police reports, on August 5, 2023, the 37-year-old mother of five was killed by El Salvadorian immigrant Victor Martinez-Hernandez on a hiking trail in Bel Air, Maryland.

The 23-year-old Martinez-Hernandez was detained in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday, June 14, after his DNA was connected to the crime scene. Martinez-Hernandez entered the US illegally in February 2023.

“ANOTHER one of Crooked Joe Biden’s Illegal Immigrant Criminals was just charged with murdering ANOTHER innocent American woman!” Trump, 78, expressed his anger on Truth Social.

The presumptive Republican nominee for president drew parallels between Morin's murder and the February killing of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia, whose suspected killer also entered the US illegally.

“Rachel Morin was on a run in Maryland, just like Laken Riley was in Georgia, when she was brutally killed by an illegal monster who was wanted for murder in El Salvador and fled to the USA because he knew Crooked Joe would let him in,” Trump wrote.

He added, “Now Rachel Morin’s 5 young children will grow up without their mother because Crooked Joe refuses to shut down the border.”

Martinez-Hernandez has a violent past and connections to street gangs in El Salvador, according to the authorities.

Officials say he is wanted for a murder in El Salvador and an assault on a mother and young girl in Los Angeles.

In response to the Biden administration's proposal to grant work permits and protection from deportation to undocumented immigrants who marry US citizens —if they have been residents of the country for at least ten years—Trump lambasted his opponent for the 2024 presidential race.

“As a matter of fact, this week, Biden is preparing to give MASS AMNESTY to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens!” he said. “This is unsustainable and can’t be allowed to continue!”

On the first day of his administration, should he win, Trump promised to "SHUT DOWN THE BORDER and start deporting millions of Biden's Illegal Criminals."

“We will once again put AMERICANS First and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!” he added.

“To Rachel Morin’s family and especially her 5 children, May God be with you!”

Internet reacts as Donald Trump blames Joe Biden for Rachel Morin's murder

Social media users weighed in on the issue of undocumented immigrants after Donald Trump blasted the Biden administration on Truth Social.

One wrote, "Sadly the murderer is supported by the Biden-Harris administration."

Another user added supporting Trump, "I also blame Biden."

The third commentator wrote, "It is 100% is Biden's fault."

"I blame Joe Biden because he knew this would happen with unfettered and unvetted illegal immigration after he was warned that these Latin American countries were emptying their prisons and mental institutions sending the cartels and every unskilled worker they can," a user wrote in comments section.
