HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump mocked ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos' height and questioned his integrity during a Fox News 'Town Hall' with Sean Hannity on Wednesday, September 4.

Trump participated in the Town Hall, where he sharply criticized Vice President Kamala Harris during a friendly interview in the key battleground of Pennsylvania. He is scheduled to face her in a debate in the coming days.

Donald Trump takes jibes at George 'Slopodopolous' for his height

Donald Trump said, referring to ABC News, "They are the most dishonest network. The meanest. The nastiest. But that was what I was presented with. I think a lot of people are going to be watching to see how nasty they are, how unfair they are. I agreed to do it because they wouldn’t do any other network," as per The Hill.

Trump then made a jibe at Stephanopoulos, referring to him as "George Slopodopolous." He mocked his height by saying, "He’s a nasty guy. I’ve had him up to here," while gesturing to his chest to indicate the anchor’s height.

Notably, Stephanopoulos, who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall, has frequently been targeted by Trump’s criticisms, with the GOP candidate often accusing him of biased reporting.

Trump made these comments ahead of a highly anticipated presidential debate with Harris, scheduled to be hosted by ABC News next week.

The debate will be one of the rare occasions the two candidates meet on the national stage and is anticipated to address a broad spectrum of issues, including the economy, foreign policy, and healthcare.

Trump had agreed to two debates with President Biden earlier in 2024 - one in June on CNN and another in September hosted by ABC News.

When Harris replaced Biden in July, Trump withdrew from the ABC debate. However, the two sides eventually reached an agreement to participate in the September 10 event.

Donald Trump takes a dig at Kamala Harris and Tim Walz at 'Town Hall'

Donald Trump took a dig at Tim Walz during the Town Hall event and said, "There's something weird with that guy. JD is not weird, he's a solid rock. I happen to be a solid rock. We're not weird – we are other things perhaps, but we are not weird."

He added, "[Walz] is a weird guy. He walks onto stages – something's wrong with that guy, and he called me weird. And then the fake news media picks it up. That was the word of the day – weird, weird, weird. But we're not weird guys, we're very solid people."

He also slammed Kamala Harris for her border policies and made false assertions about migrants, claiming they are murderers, child traffickers, and drug dealers coming into the US from prisons, mental institutions, and “very bad places,” per the Independent.

He also pledged to carry out the "largest deportation in the history of the country" if elected in November.

Internet trolls Donald Trump for taking jibes at George Stephanopoulos

Many internet users mocked Donald Trump as he took jabs at George Stephanopoulos's height and questioned his integrity during a Fox News Town Hall with Sean Hannity.

A user wrote on X, "Mocking a man under 6' tall should really boost his numbers with Gen Z women," while one added, "Has someone told him he didn’t have to do the debate?"

A person also stated, "He’s pointing out his little man syndrome, and rightfully so," whereas one mentioned, "Sounds right. Making fun of someone for something they have no control over. Nice guy."

A user also commented, "Ukraine has their standup comedienne and we have Trumpy!" [sic]
