Donald Trump Jr offers intimate look at Bahamas wedding with Bettina Anderson in romantic video
WASHINGTON, DC: With love still in the air, Donald Trump Jr has pulled back the curtain on his wedding day, unveiling an intimate new glimpse into his marriage to Bettina Anderson.
The 48-year-old first son took to his Instagram on Saturday, May 30, to share a loved-up reel, capturing the couple in the final hours before they tied the knot.
The couple exchanged vows on May 23 in an intimate wedding, which took place on the luxurious private island of Little Pipe Cay in the Bahamas.
The guest list was fewer than 50 people, and extra security precautions were put in place after the event’s location was leaked, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.
Donald Trump Jr shares loved-up behind-the-scenes from his intimate wedding
Set against the idyllic scenery of the Bahamas, the video starts with Bettina smiling and soaking in the emotional moments, walking along the beach, and plunging into the water with her husband-to-be.
The video then transitions to behind-the-scenes moments from the wedding preparations, capturing champagne celebrations and elegant details of the big day.
Close-up shots showcase Bettina’s crystal-embellished silver heels, her silk wedding gown displayed beside a bridal robe, and a sentimental custom pin adorned with charms bearing photographs of her late father.
Among the personal touches highlighted in the footage is a candle emblazoned with the phrase “Love Trumps All.”
At one point in the video, Donald Jr. is seen sitting on a lounge chair, reading what appears to be handwritten vows or a note to his bride.
The footage later shows the groom arriving at the quaint wedding chapel in a golf cart, where close family and friends had assembled for the ceremony.
Inside the intimate venue, his children, Kai, Tristan, and Spencer, stand near the front, while his sister, Ivanka Trump, sits alongside her husband, Jared Kushner. Also in attendance are his half-sister, Tiffany Trump, and her husband, Michael Boulos, seated in the chapel's back row.
The video closes on a romantic sparkler sendoff, with the newlyweds sharing a celebratory kiss as husband and wife. A cover of the classic 'Be My Baby' plays in the background, providing a fitting soundtrack to the couple’s final moments on screen.
Don Jr captioned the post, "The night I married my best friend, my love, and my forever."
Donald Trump misses his eldest son’s wedding
While a number of Trump family members and close friends were seen enjoying the wedding, missing in the video was the groom’s father, President Donald Trump.
The president previously revealed that he was forced to miss his eldest son’s wedding because of the ongoing conflict with Iran.
“While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so,” Trump posted on Truth Social a day before the wedding last week.
“I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina!” he added,
