The claim first appeared in a post and video by the @BrittanyinTexas account on X on Apr. 22, 2026. It read “Trump family drama spilling out... Kai Trump says she'll NEVER accept Bettina Anderson--who's engaged to her dad, Don Jr.--and wanted Kimberly Guilfoyle as her new mom instead.”

In the video, the eldest granddaughter of President Trump is seen repeating the same claims, asserting that her father’s ex-lover, Kimberly Guilfoyle, was the right person for their family.

“Kimberly has been by dad's side for seven years. She understands his career and, more importantly, the rhythm of our Trump family. She's a former prosecutor, a former Fox News anchor, and also served as finance chair for grandpa's campaign,” Kai is heard saying.

"She's gentle and patient with us kids, never overly eager to please, yet always reassuring. Grandpa has always trusted her and later nominated her as ambassador to Greece, which speaks volumes. She's long been one of us, family,” she continues.

Kai is then seen clarifying that Bettina has no real connection to her family, describing her as a Danish model and socialite whose only link to Donald Trump Jr. stemmed from brief rumors that surfaced during the Ambani wedding in India in 2025.

“Not even a formal relationship, let alone integration into our family. Her world is fashion parties and flashbulbs. It clashed completely with Dad's political career and our family life. Even if Aunt Ivanka approves of her, I absolutely refuse to accept her as my mother,” she continued.

The now viral video showing Kai Trump admitting that she won’t accept Anderson as her mother is fake and was generated using artificial intelligence.

A community note under the post that first circulated the claims confirmed that “the video contains AI-generated watermarks and is not a real statement from Kai Trump.”

“No credible reports confirm she said this. She has appeared publicly with her father and Bettina Anderson,” the note continued.

In contrast to the fabricated claims, reports have suggested that the 39-year-old Palm Beach socialite has formed a close bond not only with Kai but also her mother, Vanessa Trump.

“Kai really likes Bettina and gets along with her well,” an insider informed Page Six, adding, “Kai and Bettina have made TikToks in the past and always have a lot of fun together.”

“Bettina befriended Vanessa before she even got to know Don. Vanessa thinks Bettina and Don are a great match and fully approves of their relationship,” it continued.
