WASHINGTON, DC: In his birthday speech on Friday, June 14, former President Donald Trump took a jab at President Joe Biden, echoing his calls for aptitude testing as the latter continues to face criticism for his mental health, as per The Hill.

As the two likely party nominees prepare for a rematch in November, Trump spent a large portion of his speech criticizing Biden on Friday, at a Club 47 event in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he celebrated his 78th birthday, The Associated Press reported.

In a subliminal jab at Biden, who turns 82 soon after Election Day, Trump told his followers, "Our country is being destroyed by incompetent people. All presidents should have aptitude tests. Biden doesn’t know where the hell he is."

Notably, Trump has repeatedly demanded that Biden undergo a cognitive evaluation, particularly in light of the special counsel Robert Hur's February report that characterized the incumbent as an elderly man with poor memory who is sympathetic and well-meaning. Nonetheless, examinations conducted by Biden's physicians have shown that he is 'fit for office'.

The Biden campaign issued a video on Trump's birthday that listed 78 of his historic 'accomplishments'. It included Trump's recent conviction on 34 counts of falsifying company records in his hush-money case, along with his remarks on 'cutting Social Security and Medicare'.

Notably, even though Biden is currently just three years older than Trump, the former president, and other Republicans have questioned and condemned the current president for seeking office despite his advanced age and purportedly declining mental capacity.

The Biden campaign video said, "Age is just a number, but an election is a choice." James Singer, a campaign spokesperson, continued the birthday greetings by stating, "on behalf of America, our early gift for your 79th: Making sure you are never President again," as per the AP.

However, it's possible that the Biden campaign's attempts to ruin Trump's day were unsuccessful. The former president celebrated his birthday with a massive 'Make America Great Again' cake and 5,000 of his fans.

The celebrations also took place one day after the presumed GOP candidate traveled to Washington, DC to meet with Republican members of Congress.

Trump praised his 'great relationship' with the party after holding separate closed-door sessions with the House and Senate GOP. It also appeared that he had made some peace with some of his most vociferous detractors, such as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Internet split as Donald Trump calls for aptitude tests after Joe Biden’s birthday rebuke

People on the internet stayed divided and had mixed reactions as Trump echoed his calls for aptitude testing as President Joe Biden is still under scrutiny for his mental health.

A user wrote on X, "Disgraced former president Trump," while one added, "The test is: shark or battery."

A person also stated, "We will all see, at the debate," whereas another user mentioned, "Trump is proud of the fact that he passed the test they use to determine if you can ride the bus by yourself."

A user also wrote, "Aptitude test? He still doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up?" while one individual added, "Then Biden shit his pants."
