WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump has been blasted online after he said he would willingly let Joe Biden win the first presidential debate of 2024 so that he won’t be deprived of the Democratic ticket.

The Republican said this while giving an interview to Real America's Voice, which aired Thursday, June 13, as reported by Raw Story.

Trump accuses Biden of taking drugs

He began, “They're going to feed him a lot of stuff, and we should do a drug test. I'd love to do a drug test beforehand.”

“If he makes it through, no matter what, how bad, no matter how bad he is, they'll say he was great,” Trump noted, before continuing, “Well, you know, interestingly, they've done polling, and I do better against almost everybody. And so they don't — they don't want to take him off. It depends.”

The 77-year-old ex-leader of the US added, “Maybe I'm better off losing the debate. I'll make sure he stays. I'll lose the debate on purpose. Maybe I'll do something like that.”

Netizens call Trump ‘loser’

Meanwhile, people have shared their thoughts over Trump’s statements with a reader writing below the Raw Story article, “I'll lose on purpose????? He's a 3 year-old.”

Another reader said, “Donnie donnie donnie, you do not need to lower anyone's expectations on your performance, at the debate. We KNOW you will lose! You can't debate, because you do not have the capability of coherent thought, or action. Instead, you will stupidly attack something/someone, totally out of the blue, to shift the narrative. You are Soooooooooo screwed! Suks 2bu... Hahahahahahahahaha!”

“Oh, DO IT! Please lose on purpose,” the third sarcastically commented.

A fourth remarked, “What a lame idiot.”

“Of course he's projecting a loss in a debate with President Biden. No way Trump could ever win. Joe is very intelligent and articulate and knows his shit from top to bottom. The unpolished orange turd doesn't know anything. He doesn't understand government and surely doesn't understand policy or how to govern. He's just buying himself another out. Joe will clean the floor with fat a**,” a reader shared.

A comment read, “Of course, he would come up with something like that when he knows he has no platform to speak of. Just talking about his desire to be a dictator or taking revenge on those who don't support him will get him so many votes but not enough to get re-elected.”

Another added, “Trump does not know how to debate only makes a complete fool of himself and complains like the 2 times he debated Biden in 2020 and lost both debates. Trump wants to prove he's a LOSER, that's fine with me.”
