WASHINGTON, DC: During his recent conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity, former President Donald Trump discussed his upcoming debate with President Joe Biden.

The 2024 GOP presidential nominee expressed admiration for independent presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr and criticized him in the same vein, as per Salon.

Donald Trump thinks RFK Jr's 'lousy' poll numbers are keeping him from participating in presidential debates

On the topic of RFK Jr's exclusion from the upcoming presidential debates, Trump remarked, "I’d love to have Kennedy in the debate, too. I think it’s important to have him. The problem is, his poll numbers are terrible."

When Hannity asked if there should be "a threshold for him," the 77-year-old MAGA strongman replied, "Yeah, sure. It should be, probably I think they have it at like 20 or 25 percent or something. But his numbers are lousy and they seem to be getting worse. But I don’t mind having him in the debate. I think it would be good."

RFK Jr took further strides in securing a place on the ballot as an independent candidate this week by pursuing eligibility in the state of Nevada.

After filing a lawsuit with the Nevada Secretary of State's office to secure a spot on the state ballot, he has subsequently submitted a new petition.

With less than a month remaining to gather signatures, RFK Jr is actively pursuing his presidential campaign to meet the requirements for his candidacy.

Internet dismissed Donald Trump's reasoning that poll numbers are keeping RFK Jr out of the upcoming presidential debates

Netizens rubbished the former president's claims that RFK Jr's poll numbers are what's stopping him from being on the debate stage with him and Biden.

One commented, "I for one, want to hear RFK debate. Trump didn’t debate the republicans running for nomination. . He didn’t have to. He’s afraid of his own maga contradicting his words. Criticizing his stable genius status. Challenging his conspiracy theories. Fake information."

Another argued, "Trump is threatened by RFK because Republicans are realizing he will take votes from Trump, not Biden. Republicans move has backfired."

"Our system is rigged for only two parties to debate. Both parties are afraid of any competition from candidates who can hold both Donald Trump and Joe Biden accountable. We are clearly in need of new ideas and leadership, neither candidate is qualified to be president," claimed an individual.

"Trump and Biden are scared to have Kennedy in debate," said someone else, and one more remarked, "RFK’s poll numbers are great for an independent and he should be included in the debates in a fair election."
