WASHINGTON, DC: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene pushed for the impeachment of President Joe Biden on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, June 8.

The US Representative from Georgia expressed her position after Politico published a report on the same day, detailing the incumbent's efforts to separate himself from his family's business dealings.

Newsweek reported that Greene, a vocal advocate for the presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, had consistently advocated for Biden's removal from office.

Reportedly, she filed articles of impeachment against him on January 21, 2021, his first full day as POTUS, alleging improper involvement in his son Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings.

Sharing on X, Greene retweeted Politico's post regarding their article on Biden, which stated, "Joe Biden insists he's not involved in his family's business dealings. His aides are a different story. Many of Biden's closest staffers and advisers have doubled as his relatives’ business associates — both during and after their time working for him."

"This is exactly why I filed articles of impeachment on Joe Biden on his first full day in office," wrote the Congresswoman in her post. "He has abused his position of power to personally enrich himself and his family for years."

"There is no bigger scandal in American politics. Joe Biden must be IMPEACHED, convicted in the Senate, and removed from office. Then he must be prosecuted for his crimes and thrown in prison," she added.

Netizens mock Marjorie Taylor Greene's efforts to push for Biden's impeachment

Netizens trolled MTG for fruitlessly pushing for Biden's impeachment, with a user writing in response to her post, "And that went absolutely nowhere. You’re desperate."

"This is the equivalent of asking to speak to the manager every time something upsets you 😂. She's Kongress Karen," mocked another.

"You literally do everything you can to not pass legislation," complained a user.

"You’re literally one of the MOST unproductive members in the House…..wasting billions of tax dollars. That in itself speaks volumes about you," echoed another user.

"You’d file articles of impeachment on your neighbor if you could. Absolutely insane how you completely diminished the meaning of that word in two years," jibed a user.
