WASHINGTON, D.C.: Republicans like Tim Scott and Anna Paulina Luna have reportedly rallied against President Joe Biden while calling for a drug test after Donald Trump demanded it.

The former leader, citing Biden’s March State of the Union address, earlier alleged that the president was “high as a kite” at the time.

He also said, “I just want to debate this guy, but you know – and I’m gonna demand a drug test too, by the way,” before adding, “I am. No, I really am. I don’t want him coming in like the State of the Union. He was high as a kite.”

Tim Scott found Joe Biden's State of the Union address 'surreal'

Now, Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina has agreed with Trump as he reportedly said that the incumbent should go for a drug test before presidential debates.

He continued, as reported by Daily Wire, “I find it a little humorous, but the truth of the matter is, why not? The truth of the matter is that you saw the State of the Union, and you watched that performance. It was surreal.”

“If it takes artificial stimulation to make the President of the United States perform, how often can he do that?” Scott added.

Greg Murphy and Anna Paulina Luna think Biden should take drug test

Besides, Representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida shared the same view as Scott and Trump.

She reportedly said, “I think that we need to. We're talking about someone who has the ability to launch nukes.”

North Carolina Representative Greg Murphy even expressed his doubt over Biden’s March appearance.

He reportedly noted, “I was in the State of the Union address, and Joe Biden must have been jacked up on something that day.”

“I absolutely believe that from a medical viewpoint, actually I have a little bit of good knowledge that happened. He can't stand it. He can't stand under the lights for that long. And I don't think he can keep a concept in his brain that long,” Murphy alleged.

Tim Scott asked to 'stop embarrassing' himself

Meanwhile, the drug test demands have received mixed responses from people on the internet.

A YouTube user said, “Tim Scott should have a brain test.”

Another user commented, “Tim Scott stop embarrassing yourself.”

The third user, however, remarked, “Sounds good!”

Slamming Luna, a critic on X tweeted, “You should be required to not have felony charges against you in order to debate.”

Another critic said, “Y'all are truly pathetic.”

A user shared, “I think the average American voter has no problem with requiring a drug test to be administered prior to debates. We are looking to elect a leader of the world's lone Superpower. We drug test athletes, why not Politicians?”

“Absolutely!!  BOTH candidates, at the same place and time, and administered and overseen by a professional medical staff.  It should be 20 minutes before the debate begins,” a tweet read.

Another tweet added, “I think all Congress should pass a drug test and the judicial as well as the executive  branch and have randoms.”
