WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Businessman Anthony Constantino, a staunch Republican supporter, recently turned heads when he gifted President Donald Trump a seven-foot statue of himself.

Over the weekend, the Sticker Mule CEO announced that he had gifted the president a bronze statue during his recent visit to the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Constantino, a former New York congressional candidate, took to his X (formerly Twitter) account over the weekend to announce his gift while also sharing a picture of himself posing with the smiling president in front of the statue.

In his Saturday, April 12 post, Anthony Constantino noted that Donald Trump "was in a happy, joking mood, which was great to see," while he gifted him the statue.

The X post further revealed that the bronze statue, which will seemingly be a "permanent fixture" in the golf club, sits atop a stone pedestal with the businessman’s name engraved on it, as reported by The Daily Beast.

The statue, named "The Defiance Monument," features Trump posing with a raised fist.

Constantino, who is a member of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, further revealed through the statement that the statue is "prominently placed between the Trump International clubhouse and the first hole of the 27-hole golf course" for all members to see.

Later, when a user asked who made the statue, the business man revealed that it was made by Colorado-based sculpture artist George Lundeen.

Constantino also spoke out against the second assassination attempt on the commander-in-chief before the election in September 2024.

After a 58-year-old man was arrested for allegedly pointing an AK-47 through a fence at the then-Republican presidential candidate who was golfing in the club, Constantino wrote in an X post, "They try to bankrupt him with lawfare. They try to hurt his family. They try to put him in jail. And now, they tried to kill Trump twice," referncing the first attempt on Trump's life in a Butler, Pennsylvania rally.

The post continued, "Will they start trying to kill Trump supporters next? Anti-Trump hate is a BIG problem that must be fixed. Lots of people are speaking up to fix it, but the people who lit the fire must apologize to restore UNITY to America," per Fox Business.

In September 2024, Constantino endorsed the MAGA leader through the official X account of his company Sticker Mule, writing, "TRUMP IS THE MAX HAPPINESS PRESIDENT."

"I’m endorsing Donald J. Trump for President and encourage others to do the same. Why?" Constantino added, before explaining, "Donald Trump is the max global happiness President. He made the world happier once and will perform better the second time. Experience makes us all better."

Internet divided over Donald Trump's bronze statue

Netizens were left divided by Anthony Constantino's gesture of gifting Donald Trump a bronze statue. Though a section of the netizens hailed the stance, another group was critical of it and queried whether it is against the law for the president to accept such gifts while in office.

One critic said, "Gotta respect the commitment to historical fiction," and another wrote, "Nothing says ‘power’ like gifting yourself a statue."

A person questioned, "Are these gifts against the law?" whereas someone else expressed, "Well, at least it’s not the White House," referencing the location of the installation of the bronze statue.

"Broke the law. The president nor elected officials are allowed to receive gifts. But Trump loves breaking the laws and not following them," an individual claimed.

Nevertheless, everyone was not as critical, as another group of fans hailed the act and gushed, "Very cool! Hope small replicas will be available." "Perfect addition to the club and to the USA The Greatest President Of all time.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸," declared another smitten admirer.

Someone else noted, "One of the best I've ever seen. Definitely catches the President's likeness." One simply said, "Beautiful Statue."
