WASHINGTON, DC: On Memorial Day, a day for honoring military personnel who have died in service, Donald Trump posted a critical message on Truth Social. He targeted “human scum,” including judges involved in his legal cases.

Trump mentioned Judge Arthur Engoron from his fraud trial, Judge Juan Merchan from the ongoing hush money trial, and Judge Lewis Kaplan from E Jean Carroll’s civil rape and defamation case. Carroll was also a subject of Trump’s post.

The presumptive 2024 GOP nominee for president, shared an image showing himself saluting a grave.

"We can never replace them. We can never repay them, but we can always remember. Today, that is what we are doing - we remember," he wrote.

Later in another Truth Social post, he lashed out at judges who have tried him on different cases and also aimed at Judge Merchan, who is presiding over his hush money trial closing arguments which begin on Tuesday, May 28.

"Happy Memorial Day to All, including the Human Scum that is working so hard to destroy our Once Great Country, & to the Radical Left, Trump Hating Federal Judge in New York that presided over, get this,..." Raw Story also reported.

Trump then attacked E Jean Carroll and detailed how judges allegedly sided with her in her defamation case against him wherein she had also accused the former president of rape.

"...TWO separate trials, that awarded a woman, who I never met before (a quick handshake at a celebrity event, 25 years ago, doesn't count!), 91 MILLION DOLLARS for 'DEFAMATION,'" Trump wrote in the post, referring to writer Carroll's defamation cases.

"She didn't know when the so-called event took place - sometime in the 1990's - never filed a police report, didn't have to produce the 'dress' that she threatened me with (it showed negative!), & sung my praises in the first half of her CNN Interview with Alison Cooper, but changed her tune in the second half - Gee, I wonder why (UNDER APPEAL!)? The Rape charge was dropped by a jury!...," he continued in the post

Donald Trump rants about Judge Arthur Engoron

Trump then mentioned Judge Engoron, in his Memorial Day message, who presided over his fraud case.

'...Or Arthur Engoron, the N.Y. State Wacko Judge who fined me almost 500 Million Dollars (UNDER APPEAL) for DOING NOTHING WRONG, used a Statute that has never been used before, gave me NO JURY, Mar-a-Lago at $18,000,000 - Now for Merchan!"

Trump often uses holidays to launch attacks on his adversaries, and this recent outburst is consistent with his usual style as he has been working extra posting on his Truth Social.

In one such post from the past he made on January 1, 2019, Trump wished a happy new year to “THE HATERS AND THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA!” In a message posted to Truth Social on Dec. 25, Trump told several of his opponents to “ROT IN HELL” while wishing a “Merry Christmas to all.”

Internet agitated over Donald Trump's 'Memorial Day' message

The Internet seemed angry over Trump's remarks and accused him of making it all about himself.

Memorial Day is traditionally observed on the last Monday in May. It "is an annual day of remembrance to honor all those who died in service to the US during peacetime and war," according to the US Department of Defense.

"On memorial day! This is disgusting from a man who will never get close to the W.H. ever again," wrote one on X.

"Thank you sir, for this moving message. The haters don’t want to admit that you have diplomatic immunity as a sitting president and can’t be tried," wrote another.

"What a disgraceful Memorial Day message. The buffoon has no idea what it’s about," wrote a third user.

"He really wants a judge to double it…," wrote one more. "Figures that in Memorial Day, Donald Chump makes it all about himself. What a loser," added another.

"You made it about yourself FIVE WORDS into the post. Take a break," wrote another.
