MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Amidst the second day of his hush money trial, Donald Trump seized the moment to blame Joe Biden for the ongoing anti-Israel protests across major college campuses.

Labeling the protests a "disgrace", the former president said Biden "doesn't know who he's backing" and called the situation a "mess", according to Daily Mail.

Donald Trump says Joe Biden has the 'wrong signal' and 'wrong tone'

Trump addressed the issue while inside the Manhattan criminal courthouse on Tuesday, April 23, during the hush money trial against him on charges of falsifying his business records to conceal payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

His remarks aimed at the surge of protests, particularly at universities such as Columbia and NYU.

"What's going on at the college level and the colleges – Columbia, NYU and others is a disgrace," said Trump.

"And it's really on Biden. He has the wrong signal. He's got the wrong tone. He's got the wrong words. He doesn't know who he's backing. And it's a mess," he added.

Joe Biden declares he condemns the anti-Semitic protests

On Monday, April 22, Biden addressed the protests and commented, "I condemn the anti-Semitic protests. That's why I've set up a program to deal with that."

"I also condemn those who don't understand what's going on with the Palestinians," he said.

In his remarks, Trump shared, "If this were me, they'd be after me so much. But they're trying to give him a pass."

"What's going on is a disgrace to our country, and it's all Biden's fault and everybody knows that," he further said.

Calling Biden the "worst president in the history of our country," Trump commented, "He's got no message. He's got no capacity."

The 77-year-old businessman then addressed the massive police presence outside the Manhattan courthouse.

He also appeared to refer to pro-MAGA protesters and said, "Outside, for great Americans, people want to come down and they want to protest at the court, and they want to protest peacefully."

"We have more police presence here than anyone's ever seen for blocks, you can't get near this courthouse. And if you have nobody up at a college, where you have very radical people wanting to rip the colleges down, the universities down, and that's a shame," he added.
