LOUDOUN COUNTY, VIRGINIA: President Donald Trump was photographed Saturday morning heading to a golf course in Virginia after days of speculation that he might be dead or gravely ill.

The rumors took off after his weekend schedule showed no public events, fueling theories about his health and sparking viral online chatter. Hashtages like #whereistrump and #Trumpisdead also trended on X.

Laura Rozen notes empty Trump schedule, sparking wave of rumors

What lead to rumors was when Journalist Laura Rozen posted on X that Trump had “no public events scheduled all weekend” and noted she did not believe he had been seen that day.

The lack of appearances drew extra attention after Trump had been repeatedly photographed with bruising on his hand and swollen ankles.

Comments also spread further after Vice President JD Vance said he was “ready to step in if there was a terrible tragedy.”

One more rumor claimed Trump could not handle a court ruling that declared his tariffs “illegal.”

Speculation further escalated when a resurfaced video clip allegedly from 'The Simpsons' circulated online.

The footage showed a character resembling Trump collapsing during a broadcast after clutching his chest, along with narration saying “the President is expected to die in August 2025 after a severe chest illness.”

Trump is spotted golfing after death rumors

Amid the specualtions, pool reporters confirmed Trump’s public outing Saturday morning.

“Trump was spotted today in a white polo, MAGA hat and black pants as he heads to a golf course in Virginia, per pool,” wrote news editor Philip Lewis while sharing photographs taken by press photographers.

Rozen also later reposted the images on X as one more psoted the pool communiaction after spotting Trump.

Daily Caller White House correspondent Reagan Reese countered the online rumors before Trumps public appearance by noting she had spent time with Trump a day earlier.

“I wake up to see people freaking out that Trump’s sick or dead or something because he hasn’t been seen in a few days. I was with the president yesterday afternoon. I interviewed him for an hour. More details on our conversation to come today and through the weekend. We talked about everything. He was lively and chatty. It’s a great interview,” Reese wrote on X.

Internet mocks death hoax after Trump’s golf course sighting

Online reactions to Trump’s appearance ranged from disbelief to mockery. “When we all wake up and he shows up to the golf course then what??” one user posted on X a day earlier as the rumors began.

Some mocked the claims with comments like “FAKE NEWS” and “Me thinking it’s a clone.” Another user joked, “So the WH cancelled its activities for golf? Yeah that makes sense.”

Supporters pushed back at critics, with one person writing, “He should run in 2028 and make you guys even more mad.”

Another posted, “The democrats look absolutely stupid right now for pushing the ‘Trump is dead’ hoax—literally it’s come back to bite them in the ass. President Trump is not just alive, he’s never been stronger or in better health.”
