NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump joined co-hosts Pete Hegseth, Will Cain, and Rachel Campos-Duffy for an interview after his conviction in the criminal hush money trial on the Sunday, June 2 episode of 'Fox & Friends'.

While discussing his prosecution and the way forward for his reelection campaign, the presumptive GOP nominee also shared some insights into the policy changes that can be expected if he manages to win the White House in November.

Donald Trump promises to 'end' Department of Education

In response to co-host Campos-Duffy's query about his plans to rein in federal spending, Trump stated, "We are going to cut the Department of Education, let it be run locally..."

"You mean to end the federal Department of Education?" asked co-host Hegseth to clarify, to which Trump doubled down, "End it, end it - other than to have a little tiny coordination, you know. It'd be nice to make sure that everybody is teaching English, let them learn English."

As Campos-Duffy praised the plan, he continued, "We're cutting the Department of Education. I was ready to do it before, then again, Covid... If we didn't throw money at that, we would have been under depression."

Trump assured the hosts that he would put his words into action immediately if he manages to win the general election in November.

Donald Trump attacks environmental agencies

Dwelling on the subject of strengthening the economy, Trump shared, "There's so many things you can do. One of the things that is so bad for us is the environmental agencies. They make it impossible for us to do anything."

"In Louisiana, they had these massive ... LNG plants, essentially refineries, (and for) 14-15 years they have been trying to get permits. I got it done in one day... I didn't know who the hell was doing it," he continued, mentioning how impressively large the facility was and how it had foreign stakes like that of Japan involved.

"I got those things done in 24 hours. They worked on it for 14 years and it was terrible what they (environmental agencies) were doing. The environmental agencies, they stop you from doing business in this country, and we did a great job (against them)," he added.
