WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump has expressed his confidence and experience in handling debates while taking jabs at President Joe Biden.

"I think I’ve been preparing for it for my whole life if you want to know the truth, and I’m not sure you can lock yourself into a room for two weeks or one week or two days and really learn what you have to know," the former president said during a recent interview with Newsmax's Prime News.

During the interview, the former president spoke about the upcoming presidential debate set to take place on June 27 in Atlanta.

"I’ve been through it. I’ve been, you know, a popular president. We had some great elections and some amazing number of votes, nobody got more than we got. And you know, I know the subject," Trump continued.

"Now they may get cute because it’s obviously at CNN, and I call it fake news for a long time. We’ll see how they do it. I think they have a lot at stake to be fair. I think they have to be fair. But we’ll see how we do. I think we’ll do very well,” he added.

Donald Trump calls Joe Biden 'worst president in history'

Referencing a report that Joe Biden had been practicing for the upcoming debate by standing for 90 minutes, Donald Trump said, “Let’s see what happens.”

“We have to change presidents. He’s the worst president in history, and we have to get change," said the controversial former president who stated that the United States has called for a change in leadership because the country has allegedly "never been so embarrassed."

In another interview with Steve Gruber, Trump said, “Well, you know, interestingly, they’ve done polling, and I do better against almost everybody,” according to OK Magazine.

“And so they don’t want to take [Biden] off. Maybe I’m better off losing the debate. I’ll make sure he stays. I’ll lose the debate on purpose. Maybe I’ll do something like that," he added.

Internet divides over Donald Trump's claim that he's been preparing his 'whole life' to debate Joe Biden

"Trump's confidence shows he's ready without extra prep. He's experienced," a netizen commented and another user wrote, "You will blow them away!"

"Then we can expect him to sneak behind Biden and steal his wallet," a user tweeted.
