Michael Cohen reveals why he lied for Donald Trump

As Cohen explained his tenure at the Trump Organization, the 77-year-old politician remained emotionless and his eyes appeared closed, according to ABC News.

Despite the disgraced lawyer testifying about a familial environment at the Trump Organization, he did not shy away from acknowledging the challenges he faced.

Admitting that he lied for Trump, Cohen said, "It was needed to accomplish the task."

Inside Michael Cohen's alleged role in hush money trial

Trump is currently facing a hush money trial in New York for allegedly falsifying business records to conceal payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels to not disclose their alleged affair with the former president before the 2016 election.

Prosecutors have relentlessly sought to portray Cohen as a key player in a conspiracy involving the former president and National Enquirer editor, David Pecker, to influence the 2016 election.

According to prosecutors, soon after Trump announced his run for office, the businessman, Cohen, and Pecker met at Trump Tower in August 2015.

The trio devised a strategy that involved smearing the former president's opponents and damaging stories, particularly the hush money case that could impact the campaign.

Cohen is known for his alleged role in orchestrating the hush money payment to Daniels which underscores his position as the politician's true confidant and "fixer."

Internet reacts to Michael Cohen's claim he had an 'amazing experience' working with Donald Trump

Reacting to Cohen's emotional testimony about his tenure at the Trump Organization, one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "He sure didn’t lie and face 3 years in prison on his own behalf. Michael Cohen lied for Trump. It was in his job description as Trump’s 'Fixer'. Because that’s what fixers do."

One user wrote, "Michael Cohen is laying bare what is required to work for Trump: Lie and Lie and Lie and Lie and never stop Lying for the boss."

"I’ve noticed ppl [people] don’t care if Michael Cohen is a liar. He’s saying what they want to agree with and they hate Trump so much that they’re ok overlooking Michael’s lies. How does Trump stop this? By making ppl see that this unfairness can come for them as well," a netizen commented.

"Michael Cohen was very good at being a bully for Mr. Trump," a user tweeted.
