‘What an idiot he is’: Internet trolls Donald Trump Jr for claiming ‘fascist’ Democrats are trying to rig his father’s hush money trial

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: A video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) drew significant criticism towards Donald Trump Jr as he promoted conspiracy theories regarding his father's criminal trial involving hush money.

On his podcast 'Triggered', the former First Son asserted that his father, ex-President Donald Trump, wouldn't be given a fair trial in the Manhattan court proceedings, according to OK! Magazine.

"You never know. If there was someone even remotely conservative, I'm sure they would've thrown him off. You know the Democrats, they're evil and they're smart. They'll show up in a MAGA hat and pretend their conservative and unbiased and then they'll go in there and they'll do the bidding of the fascist Democrat party," Trump Jr said on his podcast, referring to the jury selection process.

The clip, posted by Ron Filipkowski of Meidas Touch media outlet on X, quickly garnered hundreds of thousands of views.

"Junior claims that the 'fascist' Democratic Party is probably trying to rig his dad's trial by sending people into jury duty in MAGA hats to try and fool people and get on the jury," Filipkowski's post read.

This is hardly the first time Trump Jr has come under fire for promoting unfounded conspiracy theories. He has previously alleged that President Joe Biden intends to "lock up" individuals and outlaw "memes."

Additionally, he has advocated for notorious conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer to serve as his father's press secretary in the event of a 2024 presidential victory. Loomer has shared false information regarding Covid-19 as well as mass shootings, resulting in bans from several platforms due to hate speech.

Trump Jr's latest conspiracy theory did not go unnoticed by social media users, with many wasting no time in lambasting him for the outrageous assertions.

One user on X commented, "He's such a freaking moron!" while another remarked, "Poor Jr. He can’t really help being stupid. It’s genetic."

Another user chimed in, stating, "Each and everyday @DonaldJTrumpJr reminds us what an idiot he is."

One remarked, "DJTJ is a legitimate moron. LOL, if a prospective juror shows up in a MAGA hat the judge or prosecution will immediately toss their ass out of the court house. What an embarrassment you are DJTJ pretending to be a sentient being."
