WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump's elder son, Donald Trump Jr, mocked former First Lady Michelle Obama by sharing a meme a day after Transgender Day of Visibility.

The 2024 Transgender Day of Visibility, observed on March 31 every year, coincidentally fell on Easter Sunday, breaking out a furious conservative backlash against President Joe Biden for acknowledging the day.

Trump Jr, who continually clashes with liberal values, used the opportunity to insult the former First Lady, who is an advocate of gender equality.

Trump Jr took to his Instagram account on Monday, April 1, sharing a Spiderman glasses meme insulting Obama, captioning it, "Funniest one I've seen today. I mean, if they want to play with Easter, we can play."

The former First Son's meme suggested changes to the ex-First Lady's facial features, indicating a change in her gender using the meme from the 2002 movie 'Spiderman' where the protagonist Peter Parker checks his eyesight by putting on and removing his glasses after getting bitten by a spider.

In the meme shared by Trump Jr, the movie character sees Obama's original face when he removes his glasses. But when he puts it back, her face turns into that of a male.

Trump Jr's opposition to Joe Biden's marking of Trans Visibility Day

It is evident from Trump Jr's Instagram caption, where he seemingly accused Biden of playing with Easter, that the meme stemmed from his opposition to the president acknowledging the Transgender Visibility Day on Easter.

On March 29, the Biden Administration announced that March 31 would be known as "Transgender Day of Visibility" to honor the transgender community.

"We honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation's commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives," Biden said in a White House statement last week.

However, this sparked outrage among conservatives, including former President Trump, who slammed his predecessor's move as "appalling and insulting" toward millions of Christians and Catholics.

Internet blasts Donald Trump Jr

Netizens brutally lashed out at Trump Jr for sharing the "sickening" meme. Besides slamming him, some even called out the entire Trump family.

One user wrote, "Jr has the intelligence of a squid." Meanwhile another person asked, "Is unnecessary pettiness genetic?" referring to Trump Jr's father.

"He's congenitally nasty," a third user wrote. Meanwhile, an individual added, "He had to post this as he has no photos of his whole family getting together to spend easter with each other."

A fifth user remarked, "Deplorable was too kind," while another response read, "He’s a perfect example of Maga Christians. They defy the teachings of Jesus and exemplify the teachings of Trump."

"The rotten apple didn’t fall far from the rotting tree," someone else opined. Another remark read, "Just broadcasting his outright racism and transphobia all in one."

An outraged person wrote, "Sickening but not unexpected. Can’t wait until they’re all GONE. Disgusting family. Every single one."

"Born into immense wealth and privilege yet lacks an iota of class," a remark read. Another slammed the entire Trump family, writing, "How can people admire any Trump. What a disgrace to America."

One individual stated, "Just when you think this family can't sink any lower.....along comes Jr and says 'hold my beer'."

"Literal racism , that woman has her baby pictures and early college photos on the internet that debunks," a response read, while someone added, "He's jealous of anyone who doesn't have a dysfunctional family."
