WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump apparently isn't fond of his son Donald Trump Jr's fiancee, Kimberly Guilfoyle, as she steals the spotlight from his daughter, Ivanka Trump, as reported by The List

According to the publication, Ivanka is possibly the favorite of the GOP nominee among his five children, though he has never confirmed it outright. However, some of his past comments have left little room for doubt that Ivanka holds a special place for him.

Kimberly Guilfoyle became a part of the Trump clan when she started dating Donald Trump Jr in 2018. A former conservative Fox News anchor with a law degree and a background in politics, she was expected to fit right in with the family.

However, rumors soon started that the then-POTUS was not thrilled with her presence. In 2019, an unnamed source revealed to The Atlantic that Trump was displeased with Guilfoyle stealing the spotlight from Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner at a Fourth of July event.

The publication further revealed that the business tycoon did not want Guilfoyle at the family's Thanksgiving celebration that year to ensure that the earlier scenarios did not replay itself.

While the Trump White House pushed back on the claims as false, the situation apparently did not improve, with a source telling Politico in 2021 that the real estate mogul found Guilfoyle "annoying."

Donald Trump's favoritism toward Ivanka Trump

Donald Trump has long been vocal in his approval of his eldest daughter Ivanka Trump and even made some uncomfortable remarks while praising her. He also offered her prominent positions in his business as well as his administration, showing his clear liking for her.

Filmmaker Alex Holder offered a glimpse into the former president's interaction with Ivanka compared to his other children in the 2022 docuseries, 'Unprecedented'.

Washington Post journalist and author of 'Trump Revealed' Marc Fisher shared in the film, "When he is talking about Ivanka versus any of his other children, it's just night and day. There is a softness, a gentleness, humane aspect to Donald Trump that we never see under any other conditions."

He further remarked that Trump had always encouraged competition among his children while putting Ivanka on a pedestal.
