MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Donald Trump reportedly used a slur  to describe Kamala Harris during a private fundraiser with wealthy supporters at his Trump Tower penthouse in Manhattan last month.

The New York Times reported that Trump, frustrated by Harris' fundraising success, made the offensive remark while hosting Republican donors on September 29.

The gathering at Trump Tower included high profile donors

Donald Trump also allegedly complained about his billionaire backers, expressing dissatisfaction with the level of financial support they were providing for his campaign.

The gathering included high-profile donors such as billionaire hedge fund manager Paul Singer, billionaire investment banker Warren Stephens, and Betsy DeVos, Trump's former education secretary.

Trump told his supporters they needed to "do more, appreciate him more and help him more," according to the report, urging them to recognize the tax benefits he was advocating for their wealth.

While Trump was expressing his frustrations, Kamala Harris was reportedly raising $28 million at a private event in Los Angeles.

The report says Harris has raised more money in three months than Trump did over the past year, Daily Beast noted.

He also criticized Jewish people who didn’t support him, claiming they "needed to have their heads examined," according to the newspaper, citing seven sources who were present.

However, others who attended were reportedly less impressed. "Some of the dinner attendees left shaking their heads at the former president’s behavior," the outlet reported, adding, it however will not have any ramification.

Internet devide over Donald Trump's offensive slur at Kamala Harris

The internet was quick to react to the story that suggested an offensive word was used against Kamala Harris. However, opinions were split, with many also supporting the opposing viewpoint.

"I've moved on from outrage to complete disgust. He's repulsive and so is everyone who votes for him," wrote one user on X.

Another person commented, "Translation: she is getting to him and he is scared."

Yet others supported Trump, with one saying, "He is not wrong,"

While another added, "He’s trying so hard not to say it but eventually he will let out the N word."
