Doug Emhoff confesses Kamala Harris had some harsh words for him over missing her call after Biden's exit
WASHINGTON, DC: The second gentleman, Doug Emhoff, revealed his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, dropped an F-bomb on him for being in the spin class without his phone on the day President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 race in July.
Emhoff made the embarrassing confession in his appearance on the 'Le Batard & Friends - South Beach Sessions' podcast on Tuesday, October 15, as per Daily Mail.
When Biden suspended his re-election bid, the second gentleman was in Los Angeles, where he attended a spin class on the weekend with his friends. He had earlier said he took the class with two friends, a gay couple, at SoulCycle in West Hollywood.

Kamala Harris demanded Doug Emhoff to 'get to work' after Biden's exit
Recalling the day Emhoff said, "And we were just chit-chatting and I had my phone in the Secret Service car so I didn't have my phone."
"And then my friend's partner just showed me his phone with the letter from President Biden and I'm like 'gotta go' and just ran into the car and there was my phone, literally, like - you could feel the steam," he continued.
The 60-year-old's phone had "seven or eight messages" that said, "Call Kamala." He further revealed that the messages were one minute or less and included, "Where the F were you? I need you right now."
"And basically, 'get to work.' And I did," Emhoff added.
Le Batard also took the opportunity to know what Emhoff wore when he hurried off to the car from the spin class, asking whether it was "tight biking shorts" or the "clackety-clack" spinning shoes."
Harris' husband admitted he did not prefer the tight biking shorts and instead wore "long, long old-school Nike basketball shorts" though it was not a good choice for the spin class.
A sweaty Doug Emhoff rushed to his car upon learning about Biden dropping out
"But I was drenched in sweat," he recounted how he rushed to the car parked a few hundred yards away. "I took the clackety-clack shoes off."
The West Hollywood got a glimpse of an "old guy, half running, trying to get to that car to get in the mix."
Biden exited the race on July 21, bowing to pressure from Democratic lawmakers and donors after flunking the debate against former President Donald Trump. The lackluster performance provoked many to question the octogenarian's cognitive ability to defeat his GOP opponent, forcing Biden to pass the torch to Harris.
Days after Harris took over the campaign, Emhoff was hit with allegations of cheating on his first wife and slapping his ex-girlfriend in 2012. Another accusation from former colleagues deemed him as "misogynistic" and "inappropriate" in the workplace.
The allegations were in stark opposition to the "supportive spouse" picture Emhoff held being the first-second gentleman in the history of the US.
