LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ellen DeGeneres is trying to regain her "nice" image as she "desperately wants to be loved again so she can relaunch her career," according to an insider.

The 66-year-old comedian revealed on her most recent Netflix stand-up special, 'For Your Approval', that she has been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD), osteoporosis, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

As per the source, these disclosures are only "a clinical grab for attention," according to InTouch Weekly.

Ellen DeGeneres misses the attention and adulation

Ellen DeGeneres lamented in 2019 that her "nice" persona was confining her. However, the following year, employees of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' exposed her as a difficult diva who fostered an environment of "racism, fear and intimidation" on the set.

"She’s got more money than she wants or needs but she misses the attention, the adulation. And she wants it back in the worst way!" shared the tipster.

Moreover, Dr Gilda Carle, a psychologist, said of the controversial comedian, "It’s a human desire to want people to like us. And she went out badly. So, she may feel that she wants to restore her reputation."

She added, "And when she says that she has OCD, ADD, and osteoporosis, I think she’s saying, 'I want you to like me, but please understand I’m a victim too!'"

DeGeneres said in her Netflix special, "I’ve spent an entire lifetime trying to make people happy, and I’ve cared far too much what other people think of me. So the thought of anyone thinking I was mean was devastating to me."

Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly planning to move to the United Kingdom

Ellen DeGeneres, who currently resides in a $25 million estate in Montecito, California, has reportedly purchased a property in the Cotswolds region of South West England with her wife, Portia de Rossi.

A source informed The Sun's Biz on Sunday section that the 66-year-old comedian has "fallen in love with the property in the Cotswolds" and is relocating to the United Kingdom.

DeGeneres, who has been married to actress de Rossi since 2008, frequently visits her famous friends in the area and has been searching for a home in the English neighborhood for a while.

The article claimed that she was motivated by the notion of the "status" that would accompany local home ownership.

"She has been on the lookout for a house in the area and often visits her celebrity pals. A Cotswolds house has become a status symbol in the celebrity world and Ellen wanted to join the pack," said a source.

Kate Moss and Hugh Grant are two A-list celebrities who have previously purchased real estate in the same area.

DeGeneres' Netflix special, 'For Your Approval', has been marketed as her goodbye to the industry. "This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done," declared the comedian, as per Variety.
