WASHINGTON, DC: Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk promised 13-year-old cancer survivor DJ Daniel that he would gift him a Cybertruck, after he was honored by President Donald Trump as an honorary member of the Secret Service on Tuesday, March 4.

Daniel spoke with CNN's Kaitlan Collins outside of the White House after his appointment where he revealed that he had bumped into the multi-billionaire in the Oval Office, according to Daily Mail.

DJ Daniel told Kaitlan Collins about his conversation with Elon Musk: "I said, 'Can you do me a big favor, when you get back to Houston can you send us a Cybertruck down there'."

Collins asked Daniel, "Did Elon Musk say he'd send you a Tesla Cybertruck?" and Daniel replied, "Mmm hmm."

Collins shared the interaction on social media and the Tesla CEO commented on the post with a heart emoji, per Daily Mail.

Notably, in 2018, Daniel was diagnosed with a rare form of brain and spine cancer with no cure and has been battling it for six years, per the outlet.

On Tuesday, Trump introduced Daniel to the world as he told Congress, "Joining us in the gallery tonight is a young man who truly loves our police. The doctors gave him five months at most to live. That was more than six years ago. Since that time, DJ and his dad have been on a quest to make his dream come true."

The 13-year-old was held up by his father while he received his badge from Secret Service Director Sean Curran as Republicans in the House gallery chanted 'DJ'.

MSNBC pundit Nicolle Wallace's controversial remark on DJ Daniel

After DJ Daniel was made an honorary member of the Secret Service, MSNBC pundit Nicolle Wallace gave her thoughts on it. She said, "I hope he has a long life as a law enforcement officer - but I hope he never has to defend the United States Capitol against Donald Trump's supporters."

She added, "If he does, I hope he isn't one of the six who loses his life to suicide."

Interestingly, when Daniel was being honored by Trump on Tuesday, many Democrats present in the gallery refused to clap. This made Donald Trump Jr launch a scathing attack on them.

He wrote on social media, "If you can't stand up and cheer for a kid with brain cancer being made an honorary member of the Secret Service, then you might be a deeply disturbed and f****d up person!!!"

Notably, Daniel underwent 13 surgeries by the time he was 12, according to Daily Mail.
