Emmys 2025 Worst Dressed: Sharon Horgan and Shannon Murphy among 10 celebs whose looks fell flat
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 14, were one of the biggest nights of the year in television. Stars of fan-favorite dramas, comedies, and reality shows gathered to celebrate the best of the small screen.
As many celebrities stole the limelight with their gorgeous attire and appearances, there were others whose outfits were the perfect definition of fashion. Let us take a look at the 10 celebrities from the 2025 Emmys who failed to deliver with their outfits.
1. Patricia Arquette
Patricia Arquette, Emmy and Oscar winner, is a veteran of award-show red carpets. However, the outfit she wore during the 2025 Emmys did not do justice to the years of experience she has. Her Rick Owens dress lacked shape and made her proportions look unflattering.
2. Rita Ora
During Sunday's event, Rita Ora wore a Miu Miu dress, which was so casual, it looked like a cross between a bathrobe and a night gown. Her bright blonde bangs looked great, and the color didn't look washed out on her skin, but her attire looked out of place for the Emmys.
3. Sharon Horgan
Sharon Horgan's gothic dress consisted of several random spots that were covered with see-through lace. Between the skirt and the side cutouts, the outfit looked disheveled and poorly tailored.
4. Michelle Visage
Michelle Visage's dress had elements that worked, such as the navy-blue color and the chic cut of the neckline. The ruching on the side was a classic touch, but being attached to a minidress, it didn't give off the right amount of appeal. The top and the bottom almost felt mismatched and seemed as if two different dresses were made into one.

Shannon Murphy wore a pink peasant dress with puffy sleeves and bow ties on the bodice. The gown would've been a cute, girly example of the royally fun trend known as Regencycore, but the addition of a feather boa made it look like it would be picked up at a party store. It was distracting, and the sight of her swinging it around made the appearance feel childish.
6. Isa Briones
Isa Briones donned a single-toned corseted dress that looked different in certain places based on how the color appeared under the shining light. The lace on the bodice was overshadowed by the green belt, and the look's best feature was hidden in the back! Her blue hair scarves should've had better placement to truly stand out.
7. Zanna Roberts Rassi
Zanna Roberts Rassi's attire for the Emmys looked like an evening gown with the skirt swapped out for repurposed jeans.
8. Samantha Riley
Samantha Riley's black dress looked a bit ill-fitting and was too plain for her simple jewelry. She also accessorized with a bag that looked more appropriate for a casual daytime outfit than the Emmys red carpet, making for an overall imperfect look.

Timothy Simons paired his black button-down shirt, suit jacket, socks, and shoes with black shorts instead of pants, making it seem as if part of his suit was missing.

Taylor Dearden kept it simple with a black strapless gown, black heels, subtle makeup, minimal jewelry, and a pared-down updo. However, the shape of her dress, the dropped waist paired with the full skirt and awkward hemline, threw off her proportions and made the look distasteful.
