“There were a lot,” the 'Shakespeare In Love' actress admitted as per People.
“I mean it’s funny because it didn’t feel like a sacrifice to me at the time," she elaborated.
"But if I look back at it through a cultural lens, I think like, wow, if people know that I didn’t do this movie or that movie, they’d be quite shocked," Paltrow added emphasizing how important the roles were which she refused to do just to embrace motherhood.

Gwyneth Paltrow's step away from acting
In November, the 'Contagion' actress told the publication she hadn’t been in an entire movie after her daughter Apple was born.
“Well, it’s kind of ironic because I really stepped away from acting when Apple was born,” Paltrow told People.
“The last time I was in every scene of a movie was when I was pregnant with her,” she added.
In March, Paltrow spoke about her feelings regarding her son Moses leaving for college in the fall to the Sunday Times.
“In the fall, Brad [Falchuk] and I have boys that will be going off to university,” Paltrow said of her son Moses and her ex-husband’s son Brody.
“It’ll be interesting to see how the morning routine changes with no kids in the house," she added.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s feelings on children leaving the house
The 'Great Expectations' actress expressed mixed feelings about her children leaving home, stating, “On the one hand, incredible sadness. A deep sense of impending grief. On the other hand, this is exactly what should be happening.”
She concluded by saying that she’s “been so defined and so fulfilled by motherhood.”
“It’s like the guiding force. It’s what I return to. I observe a lot of my friends who’ve had kids who’ve gone off to college," Paltrow added.
"Your kid… it changes. And you know, they come home a lot and all that stuff, but it’s not quite the same as living under the same roof all the days of the year. So I’m just trying to be open to what that means," she explained.
