WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Eric Trump didn't hold back as he broke his silence on the second assassination attempt against his father, Donald Trump

During an appearance on 'The Megyn Kelly Show', the 40-year-old confirmed his father was in "okay spirits," and stated that the US could become a "laughing stock" if the 45th president was "executed."

"I'm sick and tired of seeing people trying to take lives. It's the second time in five weeks that this has been allowed to happen," told Eric to Megyn Kelly, referencing the July 13 Butler rally assassination attempt

"Yesterday was ultimately a success. They got the guy ahead of time. They found out where he was, and they saved somebody from utter catastrophe," remarked Eric, adding, "But this has to stop. This has to stop. We can't allow people with AR-15s, with AK-47s within 300 yards of the president."

Ryan Wesley Routh apparently aimed at Donald Trump with an AK-47-style rifle

As per authorities, the alleged gunman, Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, pointed an AK-47-style rifle through a chain-link fence at Donald Trump, who was playing golf at the Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach, and was "intent on filming" the attack using a GoPro mounted on the fence on Sunday, September 15.

He fled in an SUV when a Secret Service agent opened fire after spotting the muzzle of his rifle protruding from the tree line at the perimeter of the course. However, a witness took photos of his vehicle and its license plate, which helped authorities track down the suspect and take him into custody.

Routh, who has a criminal history dating back to the 1990s, was charged with federal gun crimes in connection with the apparent assassination attempt. The suspect is not believed to have fired any shots during the incident.

A detention hearing has been set for September 23, and the arraignment is scheduled for September 30.

Eric Trump accuses Donald Trump's opponents of trying 'every single trick' to take him down

Eric Trump voiced his fears about how many more close calls his father Donald Trump could endure, saying, "It's only so many times you get lucky. I just want everybody to understand they are trying to kill him, Megyn. They are trying to kill him."

He further, "And it's one of the things that drives me crazy when you see Kamala [Harris] on the debate stage, ‘This man's a threat to democracy.’ There’s only one person that they’re going after and they after him viciously, and they've gone after him in every single way."

Pointing to his father's numerous legal challenges, Eric noted that his family has faced "every single trick" in the book over the past few years.

He added, "They laughed at us first, then they tried to take him down, then they tried to impeach him, then they went after him. They tried to do everything. And the only thing that was left for them to do was to literally kill him."

Eric further warned that if the situation escalates, it would spell disaster not only for his family but for the entire country's reputation.

"We probably already do to tell you the truth, but we'd look like a third-world country if the leading candidate, the former president United States, likely the 47th president the United States gets executed in Palm Beach, Florida. We'd be the laughing stock of the entire world," expressed the third child of the ex-POTUS.
