WASHINGTON, DC: Eric Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, has issued a warning to New York City's newly elected Zohran Mamdani ahead of his visit to the White House on Friday, November 21.

The first son said that any attempt to "showboat" in front of the POTUS will massively backfire, citing some of the past visitors who tried to stage publicity stunts during their visits.

Eric Trump, while speaking to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, said, “I can tell you that there are a lot of people who had gone into the White House before and tried to make a scene and try to have a big PR event. And most of the people got laughed out of it.”

“We saw that with Zelensky… I can probably name twenty-five people who went into the White House trying to be tough guys, and it didn't end up well for them. My father performs better than anybody in that moment.”

He went on to say, “My father loves New York, he cares for New York. He wants to see the best for New York, and so he would have an open door. I’m proud of him for having an open door. I don’t think this is the right direction from New York. I hope this guy is a lot more bravado than he is…but we’ll see him tomorrow.”

He ended by saying, "This is Donald Trump at his best. If the guy wants to showboat, I think he'll showboat right back! And there is no one who does that better than the commander-in-chief."

Despite the previous critical comments and election-related remarks, Donald Trump last week hinted at plans to meet Zohran Mamdani in Washington.

Trump told reporters, "The mayor of New York would like to meet with us, and we'll work something out," while preparing to board a flight in Florida.

"He would like to come to Washington and meet," Trump affirmed. "We want to see everything work out well for New York."

In a Truth Social post on Wednesday night, Trump announced, "Communist Mayor of New York City, Zohran 'Kwame' Mamdani, has asked for a meeting. We have agreed that this meeting will take place at the Oval Office on Friday, November 21st."

After winning the mayoral race by defeating former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in a historic and closely watched contest, Zohran Mamdani spoke directly to Donald Trump during his victory speech and said, "To get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us."

"So Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up!" Mamdani added as he drew loud cheers from the audience.

In response, Trump called Mamdani’s speech “very angry,” saying it was directed at him and that the newly elected NYC mayor “should be nice” to him. “I thought it was a very angry speech—certainly angry toward me, and I think he should be nice to me. He’s off to a bad start,” Trump said.

When asked about the part where Mamdani told him to “turn up the volume,” Trump called the remark “very dangerous.”
