WASHINGTON, DC: In an interview on Tuesday, Jared Kushner stated that he wouldn't accept a new gig in the White House if his father-in-law Donald Trump be elected to a second term.

During a sit-down at the Axios BFD conference in Miami, Kushner, once a major advisor to Trump, stated that he would want to "focus" on his job at his investment business.

Kushner says he wouldn't accept the offer

Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump and runs Affinity Partners, a Miami-based private equity and investment business.

During the interview, he said, "I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity as a family to be out of the spotlight … and so we’ve both really enjoyed the opportunity to be down here in Florida with the kids".

As per Axios, Kushner mentioned that he wouldn't accept a job offer from Donald Trump if Trump secures a second term in November and offers one to his son-in-law.

Kushner believes Trump has more options in the political world

Kushner added, "I was very fortunate to play a role in the campaign and then join him in the administration. But now Trump has more options within the political world to grab for his team as opposed to the 'family campaign' he ran in 2016."

He further stated during the conference, "I think he has a much better understanding of who was effective and all these different roles and I suspect he’ll have a very, very long list of very qualified people to choose from."

Internet reacts to Kushner's statements

Several Internet users reacted to Jared Kushner's statement. A person wrote on X, "Everybody abandons him!" whereas one commented, "No one wanted him there last time."

Another person added, "Hopefully Trump has learned his lesson and an offer wouldn't even be an option."

A person also stated, "Good we don't need this Mossad agent," while one added, "Et tu brute doesn’t want a gig? Haha.".

A user also stated, "I don’t want Jared Kushner near the White House."
