WASHINGTON, DC: An outspoken supporter of the Democratic Party, Mark Hamill recently unearthed an old post of Taylor Swift on X (posted in May 2020) where she criticized then-President Donald Trump.

The ‘Star Wars’ actor reposted the post that she shared on X (previously Twitter) and claimed it “has aged remarkably well.”

He added, “Especially the ‘We will vote you out in November’ part.”

What did Taylor Swift write in the post?

Swift wrote a scathing post in May 2020 before the November 2020 election where she lambasted then-President Donald Trump, asserting he would be voted out in November.

Swift wrote, “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’???”

She concluded the post by warning, “We will vote you out in November.”

The ‘Lover’ singer, a vocal supporter of the Democrats, allegedly wrote the post in response to Trump’s slamming of people protesting the death of George Floyd and threatening protestators with violent intervention.

The 14-time Grammy-winning singer tagged the then-president as well. Hamill’s post garnered 1.3 million views within 12 hours.

Hamill's post quickly garnered a huge number of views and comments.

A social media users responded, "She doesn’t need to tell anyone who to vote for. All she has to do is mobilize the vote and the rest will take care of itself."

Someone else added, "I hope she reiterates this message often for 2024. Her fans need to hear the truth."

Another user said, "Waiting patiently for her 2024 version of that tweet now 😂."

"I'd say "mic drop" but microphones are very expensive," quipped a netizen.

Someone remarked in anticipation, "And this one will age even better! 😂 almost time!"

However, there were some who slammed Hamill and Swift for their politicial takes.

"This dude's definitely into weird stuff," said one user.

"This tweet was untrue and reposting it years later doesn’t make it true. Still untrue," said someone else.

"She doesn't care about regular Americans for sure. They are suffering with Biden, badly. Including people of all colors," remarked another.
