WASHINGTON, DC: Ben Rhodes, a former national security advisor in the White House, attacked former President Donald Trump's foreign policy, branding him a 'chaos agent' incapable of resolving disputes with other countries, stated The Hill.

Rhodes said in an interview on MSNBC on Saturday, June 22, "Donald Trump — let’s be blunt — he’s not respected. He’s not taken seriously around the world. He’s a chaos agent. He’s incapable of working with other countries to solve problems."

Ben Rhodes calls Donald Trump a 'chaos agent'

Former Obama administration official Rhodes cited Trump's 'erratic trade war' with China as a major contributing factor to the nation's persistent inflation.

During his presidency, Trump imposed tariffs on China that were widely perceived as the first shot in a trade spat with Beijing. He has stated that if he is reelected in November, he will be even more strict with China.

Rhodes said, "Donald Trump’s tearing up agreements contributed, I believe, directly to October 7, between Israel and Hamas, and so Donald Trump’s not going to solve these problems and he’s doing to make them worse."

He added, "And you’re taking a chance on a volatile, strong man sharing the stage globally with a bunch of other volatile strong men and [Chinese President] Xi Jinping and [Russian President] Vladimir Putin and [Indian Prime Minister] Narenda Modi…I don’t think that’s a recipe for solving any problems here."

He further stated, "So, if Trump offers kind of chaos and risk, I think Joe Biden at least offers again, the predictability of an American functioning in line with a set of familiar interests in the United States."

Trump supporters slammed Rhodes for calling Trump a 'chaos agent'

Many internet users and Trump supporters slammed Ben Rhodes as he stated that Donald Trump is a 'chaos agent'. A user wrote on X, "Didn’t start a single war," while one added, "Just now read ben rhodes online bio. recommend reading it. it gives insight for anyone to consider him credible, or not."

A person also stated, "In all fairness what foreign countries were we sending military equipment to and what wars were we funding under Trump??" whereas one mentioned, "4 years of no new conflicts, verses the world on fire?"

Some online comments read, "Government needs a enema... Wake up people," and "How do you detoxify an entire empire built on an graveyard of stolen land ? Ben Rhodes should explain that."
