WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump's verbal misfires during his address at the MAGA rally in Philadelphia on Saturday, June 22, shocked critics, according to Raw Story.

Following a speech earlier in the day in Washington, DC, Trump addressed the rally in Philadelphia. The former president faced criticism at the first event for what he claimed to be an "incoherent" explanation of a rant that the media had previously called "rambling".

In the second event, he grabbed attention for his verbal gaffes.

Appearing to cover up his mistakes, Trump said, "So they were afraid for their lives in pen— think of it. They couldn’t stand it. They were so afraid.. Venezuela."

Trump again seemed to make a mistake when talking about the issue related to drugs.

In an apparent slip-up, Trump said, "You think of it as an ancient thing, but you know what made it... almost as big as the trug drug dealing stuff, you know what it was? The internet. It made it massive."

According to Reuters, during the rally, Trump said, "Under crooked Joe Biden the City of Brotherly Love is being ravaged by bloodshed and crime. Under the Trump administration, we are going to bring law and order and safety back to our streets."

The pledge to combat crime was part of a move to reach out to the more than 50 percent of Black and Hispanic residents of the city. Some opinion surveys suggesting Trump may be gaining progress with these people this election cycle have pumped up the confidence of the Trump team.
