NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Liz Truss has criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing her of failing to deliver results during her time in the White House.

The former UK Prime Minister has endorsed Donald Trump for the upcoming November election and made the remarks during an interview with Fox News.

Liz Truss criticizes Joe Biden's administration

In the interview, Liz Truss began her critique by pointing out what she described as "massive problems" in the United States under Joe Biden's administration.

Truss mispronounced Harris' name while asserting, “Kamala Harris is going to change none of that, she’s been there for the last four years, she’s been responsible for those policies.”

When asked if she believed Americans had an issue with electing women, Truss responded, "No I don’t. I think there are some brilliant American women in politics, but I don’t think Kamala Harris is one of them."

“She was given the specific job of sort out immigration on the southern border. It is now at a crisis point," she continued.

“She has not delivered as vice-president and she’s got the job now because of the crazy situation of Joe Biden retiring at the last minute, even though everybody in America knew he was not up to the job," Truss added.

Liz Truss calls Joe Biden's withdrawal from 2024 presidential race 'bizarre'

Liz Truss also commented on the unexpected nature of President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the presidential race and his endorsement of Kamala Harris as his replacement, according to Huff Post.

The former UK leader described the situation as “a very, very bizarre scenario."

Harris has not yet been officially confirmed as the Democratic Party's nominee.

However, several party supporters have unified behind the vice president after Biden announced he is ending his reelection campaign on July 22.

Liz Truss' own political history

Liz Truss's leadership is noteworthy as she became the leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister after Boris Johnson's ousting due to the Partygate and the Chris Pincher scandal.

However, she never led her party into a general election. Her MPs dramatically removed her from office after 49 days following a disastrous mini-Budget which caused the market turmoil. She subsequently lost her seat in the election.

Internet mocks Liz Truss for criticizing Kamala Harris

As Liz Truss expressed her disagreement with Kamala Harris' nomination and remarked that the vice president is not one of the "brilliant American women in politics," netizens slammed the former UK Prime Minister over her criticism.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "What’s the opposite of Impostor Syndrome? Whatever it is, Liz Truss has it."

Another user tweeted, "Nonsense! Satirical salad days."

"Truss stand-up comedy career is going well I see," a netizen commented.

Someone remarked, "She did her damndest to kill the Tory party so I guess satire is just collateral damage. Irony looking very concerned."

"Liz Truss crashed the British economy; she fought a head of lettuce and lost. Her anti-endorsement is a good sign," a netizen opined.
