This weekend, Elizabeth Hall, a wedding planner with 15 years of experience and the owner of Elizabeth Hall Events, is coordinating a wedding at the Ocean House resort in Rhode Island. However, online speculation has led many people to believe that the event involves Taylor Swift.
The rumors gained momentum because the Ocean House, a luxury hotel on the Watch Hill peninsula, is located near Swift's Rhode Island home. When workers erected a large wedding tent at the venue, social media users quickly connected the preparations to the singer.
The event marks the third wedding Hall has overseen at the Ocean House, a Victorian-style hotel that reopened in 2004 as a reconstruction of the original property that first opened in 1868.

The claim is false. Elizabeth Hall, the wedding planner overseeing the event at the Ocean House resort, directly addressed the rumors and said the wedding has no connection to Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce.
“Taylor Swift is not getting married at the Ocean House this weekend,” Hall said. “We do have a wonderful couple getting married there, and they’re very excited, but it is not Taylor and Travis’s wedding.”
Hall also said the bride and groom at the center of the event have remained largely unaware of the online speculation while traveling to their welcome party.
“Honestly, they don’t even really have this on their radar,” Hall said.
As the rumors gained attention online, Hall said her team took extra precautions and arranged additional security at the hotel because of the heightened interest surrounding the event.
“We love doing this,” she said. “Everyone in this industry is so passionate. And we really take all of the burden that comes with an incredibly crazy day away from the couple so that they can just be there. We love seeing them getting to just enjoy everything they’ve spent so long planning.”
Despite debunking the claim, Hall said she and her team are fans of Taylor Swift and wished the couple well.
“I mean, she’s fantastic,” Hall said. “I wish her and Travis all the best in whatever, wherever they get married.”
